It never ceases to amaze me how much faith we have in our future selves and how consistently we continue to disappoint ourselves in ways we could never of imagined.

We should be so lucky.

I would really like to applaud people when they criticize a game, especially a shooter, for being more style over substance or for coping another shooter's mechanics in this market, I really would. Sadly, 9 out of 10 times you only hear such criticism for the games that are new to the block or actually don't deserve

How about something that lets me earn more Triad XP? I don't want to just buy XP, I want to buy missions!

I'd love to see that happen in a dark and crowded theater where the gunman is mixxed in with a large crowed and no one knows what's going on. Actually, I wouldn't because it would be utter chaos.

10 bucks says this doesn't see the light of day in America.

I'm a huge fan of the Ace Combat series but going to them for airplane know how is like going to lego land to learn about structural engineering or architecture.

Do not confuse deep with good. Characters need not be deep to be good they just need to have more than one facet to be enjoyable, in this case I'm referring to the fact that characters to be characters in order to be characters. They should be defined by personalities not be character flaws and character conflicts

You mean he would stand for something and actually do his job? Shit, he's got me vote!

Doesn't sound too different than what real world leaders do. They never really do what the people want but rather go on stage and tell the people what they want and if you're luck enough to live in that kinda country maybe in another few years you can elect a different guy who will do the exact same shit!

No I understand the concept I just fail to grasp the point. If they are going to use an old brand name as a vehicle to push what will probably be a fairly mediocre sci-fi movie to start with why go out of your way to change the way the character looks?

I mean it's not like the original design was remotely iconic, or anything. The important thing is that they can use the name to sell what ever the fuck they want, to hell with weather the movie is faith to the name brand in anyway, shape or form beyond anything superficial.

I don't know, I'm not a fan of the genre so I really can't say just like I'm not a fan of shooters so you could have 2 screens and some side by side gameplay from COD:MW3 and BPLOPS2 and I couldn't tell you for the life of me which was which, no would I give 2 shits and a shingle about actually putting the effort into

See, I'm not even a zombie fan, so when I criticize The Walking Dead I'm not even looking at it as a zombie show, I'm going after it's terrible drama first and foremost and the lack of effect the setting has on the plot secondly.

Right, I got that already. Apparently when I say I want less melodrama and more actual drama, decent character development and not constant bickering or when I complain that the show's setting and premise have little to do with it's actual plot half of the time plot people seem keep thinking what I'm really saying is

You know what I like about Game of Thrones? It's a fantasy show that's not afraid to be a fantasy show.

Riiiiight, because we can't have a happy middle ground. If the setting is unimportant then why make it a zombie apocalypse? Why not just some strange future where things don't work because the plot says so? Oh, right, JJ Abram's Revolution is doing that right now (JJ if you're reading this fuck you).

yeah from what I've seen it's more of the same. They confuse melodrama with drama, tension with plot progression and constant character conflict with character development. It's the same trend that so many modern TV shows suffer from. But I suppose easy to write, and the masses of sheep out there either don't notice

A show about zombies where you're luck to see more than a handful of zombies once an episode! How edgy!

You pay out the ass for a subscription the least it could do is not bombard me with ads. I mean if the ads were at least relevant to my interests, new anime coming out, a new Nvidia card, info on the next big JRPG then MAYBE I wouldn't mind it so much. But, no, it's always for a car or NFL or an energy drink. But
