Who could have possibly predicted that fans would quickly sour to the idea of paying $500 a ticket for shitty arena seats to see a mid-level artist. I’m sure somehow Ticketmaster will find a way to blame the fans.

FWIW, in the teaser there appears to be a quick shot of Arondir lighting a funeral pyre, and she was quite critically injured last season (even though he tried to heal her with elven magic) so there’s that.

I think it’s possible a lot of these acts could sell out those venues with a slightly cheaper ticket price. There’s so many people who can’t afford $100 for a ticket ($200 if you’re taking a date). Not to mention how many are midweek which can’t be easy for a lot of people. Also they’re probably not spending enough…

This is also live sports now. Blame ticket and concession prices, the inconvenience factor, and the fact that you can grab a 4K TV for relative peanuts these days. New sporting venues are being built with smaller capacities as a reflection of this.

The only true way to see a huge headliner these day and feel like it’s a value is going to a 3/4 festival.  If you can deal with all the other stuff that goes into being at a festival that is.
