This place always struck me as strange, like it was out of place. The Disney resorts are mostly designed with the theme parks in mind - a place to stay, eat, relax, and unwind after a long, hot day in the parks.  The immersive place seems to be the complete opposite as in the experience is just staying in the hotel.

Ffs... Do you not know how Oral Histories work? Because this absolutely is not an oral history in any way, shape, or form. Look at literally any other oral history ever published, then look at this. Notice the massive difference? Just because an article includes a few quotes from people does not make it an Oral

The world weeps that Roger Corman was never able to make a Turner D. Century film!

Nicholson: My sister doesn’t like you.

It was weird watching (in a youtube clip) the Rey actress uncover the holocron and act sheepishly amazed and saying ‘its a holocron. yeah, a holocron’ to a bunch of confused kids and some parents looking on

The video is well worth it and held my fascination throughout. The 4+-hour length really makes you feel like you’ve slogged through this overpriced, half-baked “immersive experience” as well.

Yep. This was rubber dinosaurs at IRL Jurassic Park prices. Really GOOD rubber dinosaurs, but still.

What, does the Compartment of Shame/Safety in each room not instill confidence in you or something?

Love her videos.

‘”A well-cast Scooby Gang—Mikey Day as Shaggy, Sarah Sherman as Velma, Gyllenhaal as Fred and Sabrina Carpenter as Daphne, alongside a CGI Scooby Doo—was busy doing what the Scooby Gang does best: solving a mystery. Except the group’s usual villain demasking took a gory turn when the bad guy’s entire face came flying

Not like a show starring a youth has ever followed their characters to college or anything. And it’s not like writers can’t be replaced should a network want to keep a valuable property going. I think it’s somewhere in a Venn diagram between a now-unlikeable lead, expired premise, and wanting to save money while still

George Miller’s entire career laid out honestly sounds like a joke. The man just seems to do whatever the hell he feels like in the moment with zero thought of whether he’s ever done anything like it before, even in comparison to other famous genre-fluid directors like Howard Hawks and George Cukor. And his still

Very well put!

Compelled to mention the 2020 Darth Vader comic run, that was hellbent on reifying the most ridiculous parts of Episodes 1-3 and 7-9.

Agreed - there is a lot more that could be told based on the history of the real people the book was based on.

Could’ve fooled me. One of the main points of the prequel trilogy was how flawed the Jedi code was and how it would lead to someone like Anakin falling. That he would have to conceal his love for Padme and be desperate to turn to Sidious manipulations. For all my faults with the prequel trilogy I like it calling out

imo a franchise’s canon should be messy and inconsistent. Art/media means different things to different people, and Star Wars especially has a bunch of influences, ideas, and themes with no one really comprising what “makes” Star Wars. Placing that under the purview of one person who’ll then decide what Star Wars “is”

True.

I like this idea. I believe there are a few of Shogun’s characters’ descendants who appear in Gai-Jin, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable for there to be a family resemblance. I too would love to see what Yabushiga’s kin are up to a couple of hundred years later.
