A scholarship??!! DaFuQ??!!

I am a descendent of Ocoee Massacre victims. My father sought reparation for about a decade during the twilight of his life. He died before Florida decided to award us “something”, which ended up being nothing for a while as they took back the money and now it’s some kind of scholarship.

Let this only be the beginning of full reparations for those who had land and/or labor stolen from them.

Not too long ago, I had read gone down a rabbit hole and read stories about “race riots”. I know many people fled their homes and white “landowners” took claim over those properties. I wonder if those descendants can attempt to reclaim those lands.

A former Google employee who was tasked with hiring more Black people to the company, and who was herself fired in 2020, has filed suit against Google/Alphabet claiming she was retaliated against for calling out discriminatory practices at the company.

The fact that she opens with “...one of three black men in Santa Barbara...” is a clear tell that she is, in fact, racist and not just against obnoxious people. Which would actually be quite ironic since she is the most obnoxious person there by a long shot!

For the one grey trying to dismiss racial profiling here, one just has to examine whether a white couple would have faced the same situation while working in their store at night.
