I can't wait for the upcoming books to tell us if we're all correct!

Interesting! I hadn't ever considered that.

Exactly! I feel like I need to be responsible with how much I share since I've read the books. I'm happy spilling it all, but only if the person I'm spilling to wants to hear it.

Niiiiice.

It did feel a little rushed at the end, didn't it?

True, but some people don't want any confirmation that something has or hasn't happened. If s/he wanted to be totally in the dark, I wouldn't want to ruin that. Sometimes it's fun to speculate without someone stepping in to say, "Actually ..."

The comparisons to WWZ are apt, and I enjoyed the way the machines are the opposite of zombies. Both will annihilate you, true. Zombies do it by outnumbering you with a tireless onslaught, while machines, which are also tireless, will out-think you. That's terrifying, and the difference is a fun one for someone like

I enjoyed the book. The early scenes with isolated robot murder incidents were quite frightening, and the human survival techniques were interesting. No spoilers, but some of the atrocities the machines committed were particularly horrifying. The dialogue was a bit clunky, though, and I thought Archos, the evil AI,

Yeah, it's probably more about my lowered 3D expectations.

No. It was a good read, but it doesn't come close to the social, political and emotional scope WWZ. I liked it. It was thought provoking and scary, but WWZ is a superior book. And I agree that it's due to Max Brooks' writing skills.

Do you want to know what's up from someone who read the books?

I've wondered that, too! And would, say, LotR be different if Tolkien had internet trolls to contend with?

Poor owl!

I hesitate to voice this opinion to anyone outside of my immediate family, who are obligated to love me, but I saw the 3D trailer this weekend, and the 3D ... it looked good. Really, really good. I'm sure the movie will be TERRIBLE, but the 3D was the best I've seen since "Avatar." (Granted, this was in a two-minute

Or maybe just a really big dragon fan?

From your lips to god's ears. (In this scenario, god is GRRM.)

Yep, that's Gendry!

Bonus points if the driver of that van is selling ice cream to the neighborhood kids out of it.

That was precisely what I said! I want a wee widdle dwagon, too! Who's a sweet widdle dwagon?

I'm concerned that GRRM has heard all of our speculations and will change his parentage just to mess with us in future books.
