I'm still amused thinking about Shran's antennae moving independently of one another on "Enterprise." Don't you love it when shows pay such attention to detail?

@Jvtrain: I've found I only have to buy an extra of the first book to loan out. They buy their own after that!
I don't usually comment on typos, because how douchey is that, but this one made me laugh:
@The_Sporean_Bob: Hmmm. Is there a right kind of gangbanging?
@ManchuCandidate: That bastard always pops in unannounced, and he never returns the things he borrows!
@dragonfliet: You see pedestrian writing, I see intriguing character development and a compelling plot. Potato, potato. (Man, that does NOT work in print.) I'm not going to insult anyone for his/her opinions here, whether s/he agrees with me or not.
@maggeimerc: I know what you mean. She makes tough choices, and she's not the warmest character. And she's out there, all alone in her isolated (for now, I hope) storyline. But yes, if you haven't read all the books published so far, it's worth plowing through them.
@DisturbingClown: In fact, GRRM has said he intended to have more time elapse between chapters, especially in the first book, in order to let them get older. But he found that he couldn't bear not to include what happens immediately after the events of the previous chapter. Hence, uncomfortably young kids, in certain…
@♠ Final ♠ Fear is the Mind Killer: Or with a big ol' picture of Sean Bean on it. No offense to Mr. Bean, of course.
@DisturbingClown: How about this? [www.westeros.org]
@Josh Young: It's been a while since I read them, but I recall more silvery blond than Storm white.
@najmah: Yeah, I'm assuming tone and delivery made a big difference. I've just adopted a policy of never scoffing at a person's reading choice, no matter how light-heartedly. God knows there are plenty of people who might want to scoff at mine.
@Eester: From your lips to GRRM's ears ...
@maggeimerc: I'd quibble with you over evil. Otherwise ... yes.
@dr_bambi: Huzzah! Buddies! :)
@najmah: Geez. What kind of terrible bookstore employee comments on a person's reading choices, other than, "Oh, that's really good!" or "I've been meaning to pick that up"? You have every right to be miffed.
@EdificeComplex: I CAN'T WAIT EITHER! (And I can't stop yelling about it.)
@Eester: @Ruthless if you let me: The interviews GRRM has given indicate he's not terribly far away from being done. Of course, he said that over and over for the last few years, so ...
@ceptri: I believe that's the plan. Feel free to wonder aloud about what happens after season 4 ...
I'm uncertain about Cersei's wig. It looks supah fake.
