This is the third movie of the most recent reboot starring Christian Bale. There have been a bunch of other movies with different actors starring as "Batman."

They appeared together on SNL last year and made fun of their similarities.
@NewWaveBatMitzvah: Yep, I saw the same show. Now I have to go see if she's going to be coming through my area again anytime in the near future...
@NewWaveBatMitzvah: I second this. I saw her live last year. I still occasionally have the urge to sing, "Kristen Schaal is a horse!"
@Just_another_number_and_clever...: Kristen Schaal - who is awesome - has been on the show occasionally for a few years. She was on during the 2008 lection, and then not for awhile. But she's been back on with more regularity lately.
@angizzle: She's on Community! I can't remember her name.
@LaFabuliste: @SuperStella: It was an Ohio thing. The Ohio Supreme Court determined the educational funding system violated the Ohio constitution back in 1997. For years, the plaintiffs worked with the court and an uncooperative government to try to enforce the order, but it appears a lot of that enforcement…
@LaFabuliste: "Not to mention that the way Ohio schools are funded (property taxes) has been deemed illegal/unconstitutional by the Supreme Court (can't remember if it's the Ohio or Federal supreme that decided that— fact is, someone decided) and yet NOTHING HAS CHANGED."
@msmoneypenny misses MizJ: My Old Navy tanks have lasted me the longest, haven't shrunk in the wash, etc. Some of their clothes may be crap, but I've had good luck with the tanks.
@badmutha: Scrunchy. That'll never stop being funny.
@PaintedTrollop: Goes to show that an academic education =/= a cultural education. Nor, in my co-worker's case, an education in social graces.
@PaintedTrollop: I was watching the inauguration with some co-workers and one of them asked who that guy was on the cello. I was like, that's Yo Yo Ma! And he responded, Never heard of him. I don't follow classical music.
@Aquamarine: @TopLevelExecutive: Thanks!
Hey, Michelle: Today's your Birthday! (Nanana nana na nana). It's my birthday, too, yeah!
@supersarah: One thing I'm curious about is how the close the screenplays for both movies hewed to the dialogue of the book. I am less bothered when you have a "remake" that is essentially a new take on some other source material, like a book, than when the source material for the new movie is really only the old…
@supersarah: I haven't read the book, but Wikipedia has a rough breakdown of some differences between the book and the Wayne movie: [en.wikipedia.org] href="http://jezebel.com/tag/differencesfromthenovel/">#Differences_from_the_novel
@BelleBreezing: I'll just say that I thought the ending was more sober, but makes me like Mattie even more.
@supersarah: The new one hews closer to the book than the old one did. I personally preferred the ending of the new movie better (which is actually taken from the source material - the John Wayne movie omitted it for a happier ending).
@BelleBreezing: From what I understand, the romantic plot point was between Mattie and LaBoeuf. I only saw the latter half of the original movie (it's naturally been on TV lately), so I didn't see the whole thing. Wikipedia only defines it as a "hint of romance" between the characters.
