No self-respecting citizen of Sandusky, Ohio, would go to King’s Island when Cedar Point is in your backyard.

And voter registration in Ohio ended weeks ago, so...

Their opposition to the extension is utterly ridiculous. That should be the story. The headline unfortunately suggests Dugger has actually been denied some right when he's really just been told to hold his horses.

He certainly is. I didn’t like the headline because it suggested he might not be getting access to the evidence he’s legally entitled to see. To some people it might suggest he's due some sympathy, which he's absolutely not.

So common that I have no idea why this is a news story on Radar or Gawker. It’s a very routine extension and not a denial of a request to see evidence.

That was my first Barbie! I also had that Southwestern Barbie in the picture and the '57 Chevy. No dream house, though. My Barbie lived in her car.

“Man, I swear I love her how she work the damn pole.”

It's a great portrait, no doubt, but it's been hanging in the National Gallery already for two years. I've seen it many times (and may have taken a picture of myself standing in that conveniently empty space next to O'Connor). Just noting that the first paragraph makes this sound as if it just happened yesterday?

I believe only certain parts of the VRA were ruled unconstitutional, namely the requirement that southern states have to have certain voting laws run by DOJ before they can become effective. So now such laws can become effective immediately, but DOJ (or others, presumably) can still challenge those laws in court as

I wouldn’t say computers were uncommon in 1998. Not every household had a computer, but quite a few did. My midwestern family was a relatively late adopter, at least among the kids with whom I went to high school, and we had a computer by about 1996 or so. That was the heyday of AOL after all! But I don’t recall using

Soho is by definition south of Houston, which the Bleecker St stop is not. I guess it’s Noho, but it’s not exactly miles away from Greenwich Village.

I hate to tell you, but Kings Island is now owned by Cedar Fair, so they aren’t really independent entities anymore. I recently went to the VA park (Kings Dominion) for the first time and was amazed at how much it now feels like Cedar Point. If that’s any indication, I don’t think the parks are all that different

I read somewhere that shorthair gray cats are often somewhat hypo-allergenic and we ended up adopting a cat that appears to be a Korat. She really doesn't shed much (regular brushing in the warm seasons helps) and has never aggravated my partner's mild allergies.

This doesn't sound like a bill that has to go through Congress, but a rather soon-to-be done deal (executive order?). It's just unclear to me when this will go into effect.

I do want to know where Mellie is getting these floral robes!

1997 High School Winter Formal. The flowers were yellow on my dress.

If I recall from her book, she's a huge Belieber.
