"And so, while it may cause a big stir to seize on the bitter rantings of ex-employees and ignore what current staff say about working at The Daily Show, it's not fair."

@DreadfullyVegan: That's interesting. I was reading these posts and thinking some of the vegans here were being a bit more "militant" than usual, for lack of a better word. I mean, jumping all over the vegetarians because they haven't found a good cheese alt yet?

@chicana: That appears to be some kind of salsa and avocado on a chip or cracker with cilantro. I'm not sure what liking that has to do with whether or not you eat meat.

@ms.windupbird: I didn't attend my HS 10 year reunion, but I understand attendance was very very low - like 50 people out of a class of 750. That might be unusual.

I went to my 5-year college reunion several years back. It was a full weekend and up in the wilds of NH, so most of the dress code was pretty casual. People tended to dress in a slightly more adult version of the same clothes they wore in college for most of the weekend. The one big dinner was outside in a big

@domesticdork: You might like my "Bad Grammar Makes me [sic]" shirt.

I'm sort of amused that she's been compared to most of the other TDS correspondents in this thread (Sam Bee! No, Rob Riggle! No, Jason Jones! To me, it shows that TDS expects a certain style from them and, if anything, she's fitting in with what they want.

It wasn't bad. I think she needs to work on finding her own style to distinguish herself, but she's also facing a lot more scrutiny than any other correspondents on TDS have faced on their first days on the job. I don't envy her.

@LadyTudorRose: I absolutely agree that Charlie Sheen and his like need to be in the same boat as Chris Brown, and in my mind he is. I wish he would lose his show, go to jail, lose his career, and it pisses me off that the general public hasn't given him the same level of shit. So yes, the general public has

@blameitonrio: I don't think the Charles Taylor in the article was half-American, but his son, who goes by the same name, was born to an American woman and raised here. He later joined his father in Liberia and helped him out with the whole warlord thing, although he was tried in 2008 in Miami for various torture

@TopLevelExecutive: Well, the link suggests that maybe Megan's father wasn't a big part of her life growing up. And he doesn't sound upset about not being invited, so maybe we shouldn't jump to call her a terrible person without knowing about their relationship.

@prairielily: @anniemac: Kristen was just a contributor, or whatever parlance they use, not a regular correspondent.

@katloff: Because it was hosted by a "dude"? Who apparently treated his female co-workers poorly? It was still a mock news program (co-created by a woman) and news is not the particular provence of dudes.

@Norton: I think she "put them aside" because she was merely trying to state what the current status of Supreme Court precedent says. If I recall, Supreme Court precedent on late-term abortions is, unfortunately, not as protective of women's health. That's what I hope she menas, anyways.

I only saw a little bit of the hearings before I left for work this morning, but she seemed very relaxed and at ease.

@nobodyr: Other than some holiday albums, I don't think he does specifically Christian music. More opera and classical pop - he does have a nice voice.

@VeronicaPeriphetes: Do you even read this website? I mean, I'm sure Angie has her fans on this website, but Jez is by no means some monolithic force that dictates your opinion about her. Also, this is a site that made its mark pointing out photoshop disasters (look at today's coverage, even). I highly doubt anyone

@kookoocachaw: Well, Tavi is 14, so by comparison, we're probably all old.

@mitzihome: Apparently they are going to expand the menu at Ray's to include turkey burgers and a portobello mushroom burger. So say the devoted Ray's fans I was hanging with last night - I can finally eat there!
