@likepenguins: I went through the air puff machine once, and it only took about 30 seconds longer. Perhaps your machine had the calibration or some other problem mentioned upthread...or perhaps different airports handle it differently.

@lollapulizer: DC totally befuddles me for this reason. If someone even whispers the word snow, schools are cancelled for a week.

@CherriSpryte: The snow here is supposed to stop by the middle of the night tonight, and then no more snow. While the single plow DC owns probably won't be able to get to all the streets for a few days, I suspect the highways will be clear by Tuesday.

@itsonreserve: I just made these on Tuesday. They are delicious! And they hold together well, which is key. She used her food processor to shred the potatoes. I used a shredder attachment to my mixer. But old fashion grating should totally do (and give your arm a good workout).
