And they don’t realize (or maybe they do) that Porn/Erotica has been one of the main drivers of technological innovation in the last 100 years (outside of the military) From increasing bandwidth on the internet, to the old VCR vs. Betamax debate and even the early printing presses.. a lot of technological innovation

This entire article exists only to make use of a terrible headline...

Giving 1995 what? Kudos? Hepatitis?

the bad part is that when they traded him in, they got 2.45 in store credit.

I agree with both. While it’s funny for him to deny getting choked out, the fact that he’s doing it at all, gets him full props. He might not win, but at least he’s out there actually trying, and not playing around either.

Having less time, but more money as an adult has changed this calculation for me. My time is too precious to play something that’s not the top item on my list, just because it’s cheap.

Secret nerd handshake unlocked.

Brand new. I’ve only been online for fun since 1990, for work a few years after that. However, as someone else mentioned, my internet use rarely includes the social media ecosystem. Apparently, that’s where we keep “the common clay of the new West. Y’know...morons.”

Its just so much more MTX-centric and grind-centric than VT2.

I’ll say 2 and half days. The number of trolls who will call in to pollute the system is going to be very high.

I hope a new organization is created. This is such bullshit that people think AI bots are going to be appropriate for stuff like this.

Raise your hand if, as a kid, this was your first exposure to The Shining, rather than the iconic Kubrick film or the original Stephen King book. Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

They hot bunk clearly

Some proffessors are just lazy fucks on power trips. A history professor flunked half a class for plagarism when I was in school and after a month or two of arguments it was decided he basically didn’t know how to use the automated plagarism tool of the day.

Also agree, but then I think we need to lower our bar for expectations sometimes (not in this particular case).  People screw up... a lot.  Guy needs to nut up and apologize, while also recording that apology for my pleasure, and then we all can go on our merry ways.

Only problem there is that, monkeys on a typewriter style, since chatGPT is writing a ton of stuff all the time even completely original works might line up 70% with some random thing it wrong one time

It’s my understanding that the Declaration of Independence comes up as AI generated when run though these programs. I don’t know why professors aren’t testing these things before believing them over the students.

One of his students actually did that and sent it to him. Not sure how effective it was, since the professor is remaining mum (pun intended) to the press and all responses are coming from the college.
