Yeah, dumb reason is dumb.  There are lots of PC games that support local co-op. Maybe I’m in the minority, but I have a decent gaming PC hooked up to my 65" TV in my basement to play PC games with my kids and because I don’t always want to game in my office.  I was on the  fence about Diablo 4.  Couch co-op probably

Yeah, I don’t think anyone particularly blamed Sirkis for anything. His portrayal of the role was fine and he’s generally regarded as probably the finest motion capture actor there is. It was just the fact that his character arc was ultimately so lame that people were mad about, not the character himself.

“These men are not victims, they are fucking buffoons.”

I must be a million years old too, because this was my first thought as well, and hell ya, those cars were hard to control...

Fair enough.  It seemed as though you were suggesting the DA should prosecute a class action, which I found very strange. Your clarification makes more sense.

Why would a DA be involved in a class action lawsuit?

I think if S.3 ep 2 proved anything, it’s that the Darksaber definitely belongs with a different Mandalorian.

Not really. That’s why I was curious if you were making a particular criticism against RE4 for being “too gamified” since they are all like that to some degree.

I mean, yeah he obviously shouldn’t have done it in the first place, but arguably what he’s doing now is better than a lame-ass apology and moving on until it is forgotten.

Yeah, sounds like Norovirus. I had it run through my whole house a couple weeks ago. Me, my wife, and both my kids all had it for about 24 hours of misery each, then it mostly went away with a few lingering effects. It was nice enough for us each to get it one at a time.  I was the last domino to fall. Not fun.

Are you suggesting that Res Evil 1 - 3 weren’t gamified, or was 4 your first RE game?

But do you offer to buy it at a high price?

Except that’s not what I’m saying at all, but that’s a nice straw-man you have built. What I’m saying is that I’m sick to death of privileged North American millenials acting like they’ve got it so tough instead of recognizing the extreme privilege they’ve been born into, and maybe replacing some of their ridiculous

Yeah, I’m not talking about in 50 years from now, or about living in third world countries. I’m talking about relatively privileged people complaining to other relatively privileged people on online videogame blogs about how difficult life is.

I love how some of the writers on this site will find any possible reason to complain and add their own hyperbolic cynicism to an article.

So what I’m hearing is that Larry is the first AI victim of celebrity cancel culture?

That’s messed up that police are getting involved over what is clearly a civil issue. I know we should be importing our Western to another countries legal system, and I’m sure arguments can be made about police getting invovled over trumped up civil issues involving the rich and powerful here in North America, but

I’ve been a reader of this site for more than 15 years. It used to be good. Everything you’re referring to has really just been the last few years.

Which is precisely why the headline was so attention grabbing, only to be a total bait and switch.

Exactly, I frequented this site long before Brian left, although I still enjoyed it under Stephen. It is a pale shadow of it’s former glory these days.  Glad Luke is still putting out some decent stuff at least.
