Which is a nickname that sounds like floor cleaner. But nice floor cleaner.

Says the unknown person making a snide remark in the comments section of a blog that's read by millions.

Ugh, Jesus. I mean, it's a beautiful, wonderful city. But if I ever go back, I'm just booking a fucking hotel on Esplanade.

Yes it was! Did you have the same experience?

No problem! I found that the measurements were more helpful than the arbitrary sizes, tbh.

ASOS goes up to about a 26/28 in US sizing. They say that UK sizes are +4, but I bought a couple of things in what I thought would be a size down and they fit perfectly. So it's more like a +2.

New Orleans. I left a full review on AirBnB, mostly because they never got back to me and I kind of suspect that this woman shouldn't be renting out her place anymore until she gets quite a lot fixed.

Yeah, the problem is that Modcloth is genuinely better, but shipping to Canada is a nightmare. I wish it wasn't just a rayon parade at ASOS, but when almost nobody carries plus size, you take what you can get. (womp womp)

I know — I'm talking about people outside of the States for whom Modcloth isn't a great option.

Yeah, it's more the fact that ModCloth is terrible about shipping to Canada, for instance. The shipping cost is like $20 and they refuse to cover any import fees. So if your total if over $100, you'll probably get dinged like an extra $20. And it's super slow shipping.

For anyone outside of the States, ASOS is way better.

Now playing

Reminds me of this from Filmdrunk's podcast.

Yeah, in the end the trip was awesome and the place was actually nice (apart from the broken bed), but the owner herself was a mess.

A huge mess. I think I posted about it back during my trip, but basically the person who owned the place didn't live in the same state. So she has friends who do the key handoff and basically act as communication during the trip. We were told to text one of these friends before we got there. Which we did. Literally 6

To be fair, I've had two amazing experiences with Air BnB, I'm more just frustrated by their total lack of response the one time it went bad.

After my nightmare experience with AirBnB, I'm kind of just fed up with them in general. I had a serious problem with my booking and nobody ever got back to me despite several e-mails and a direct response to their "How did we do?!" form.

Not only uses racist language, but it's somehow it's also routine to verbally assault police officers and the mother of your newborn child?

Oh, wow. A rich, straight white man who doesn't believe that he should have to be courteous to people with less privilege.

I suspect that the photos are meant to make the average shopper believe that that's how she'll look in their clothes, rather than accurately representing a "bigger" woman.

The slender obsession was also a fairly new thing in the '20s, where erasing "womanly" features like hips and breasts were a fashion. Things come and go in waves, of course, because 20 years later it was all about the hourglass.
