Thank you for this! You perfectly put into words what I have felt for years as a 4'11 woman. I feel like I always have to put on this front of "oh I love my height, hee hee hee!" but the truth is, it is constantly an issue. I have put on hold my original career plans (public relations) after over and over again

Boo no $3 a pint blueberries here yet! I'm actually jealous :-)

My boobs basically look exactly like Jennifer's do here if I try to show any cleavage and in swimsuits. That (in my experience) is just what happens to boobs when you lose a lot of weight. I think maybe people aren't used to boobs looking like her's because a lot of the women in Hollywood either have quite small

Don't be jealous. I am in Canada, in an area full of great produce in fact, and that $6 is certainly not going to buy you much more this time a year than a teeny, tiny little clamshell of blueberries...unless you want to buy some nice in-season apples. Then you can get yourself a nice big bag!

Aaaaaaah reading all the comments, I can't believe how many people actually tried 'the choking game' when they were kids. It makes me cringe to even think about! Right now I am feeling very thankful that I was a chubby, bookish child with no friends who would think choking each other would be fun.....I so would

@the.babe.wore.red: My best friend lives in Toronto and came back to Calgary for Christmas - she said she didn't notice much of a difference with the security on the Toronto end. Still nice and polite. I hope it turns out well for you too! For me, Calgary is the only airport in Canada where they are being extra

As a former Calgarian who returns home frequently, I don't doubt one bit that she was treated this way. The security screeners there, with a few exceptions, are power-hungry jerks, for lack of a better term. They are rude and more aggressive than is necessary. In my travels over Canada, the Calgarian screeners are

@Booots: Hahahahahahaha that was my first thought too: "Hey! It's Kayla!" I am trying to find out if it actually is her now...

@Tirannie: I am also Canadian, and a couple of years my close friend was hit by a car while crossing in a marked crosswalk. I myself used to have close calls every week when I lived downtown and walked to work (never jaywalking, always crossing legally). My story is not unusual either; many of my friends and family

I am so fucking glad 2010 is over. My grandfather died, my father in law was diagnosed with stomach cancer, my father went through stressful, groundless lawsuits, my brother spiraled into a hole of depression and pills, even my family's freaking dog was given a few weeks to live on Dec. 30. Words cannot express how

@Jeg prøver å snakke arabisk: Meh I'm sort of with you on this one. I totally understand kids, say 16 and under catching the fever, but it is the adult women that creep me the hell out. Plus, I was a strange child so all of my crushes were always on reallllly old (well in their 30s-40s) actors, and now I love me

Oh. My. God. I went to her website and searched "Latin" just to see her take (my husband is Salvadoran). Unbelievably offensive. She goes with the most basic stereotype of Latin men (macho + insanely jealous + non-commital) and runs with it for every single article and and bit of "advice" she doles out. Not that

@jenawithonen: That sounds exactly how my parents approached things. I remember how excited my brother and I would get for summer trips because it was the one time a year we were allowed to have sugary cereal. We only got fast food occasionally too and I don't believe we caused my mom too much grief. I don't

Yup. I'm 29 and my brother is 25 we are still expected to be at my parents' house at the crack of dawn, where there are still Christmas stockings AND presents from Santa. I would complain, but whatever, Santa apparently shops at Tiffany and Apple so it's allllllll good ;-)

People tell me all the time to dye my hair and it drives me crazy. I used to dye like a maniac and have had every colour from blond, to bright red, to orange to purple. About 7 years ago I decided I was tired of it so I spent the next couple of years or so growing it out to my natural colour. My natural hair, I

@superwoman: So, so, SO agreed. I freaking HATE hulu!!!!!

Ooooooh also, a two-way tie for Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert. I love me some silver foxes AND food. Mmmmmmm....

I don't know if this will upload right as I am having sad, sad computer issues, but COME ON!! No soccer players?!?!?!?! Iker Casillas wins always.

I don't doubt this. Now that we are adults, I really love my brother and most of the time we get along very well, but growing up this was not the case at all. My mom took very different approaches in how she raised us - she was much stricter with me and held me to a much higher standard. He was babied and got away

@Morwynn: This is absolutely true. About a year and a half ago my brother was flying from Calgary to Victoria and he had a Mont Blanc pen in his carry-on bag. The security guy tried to say it was a 'safety threat' and attempted to take it. My brother went off on him and demanded to speak to his supervisor.
