I marble at the distance it travelled.
Jumping to conclusions are we?
I will never take your pun threads for granite.
Or maybe she was on the rock.
The boulder got knocked 30 feet away? She really was stoned!
“Incredibly, the driver, an unidentified woman, walked out of the car unharmed after the crash. She was taken into police custody for suspicion of DUI, where the investigation is ongoing.
And both are constantly plagued by the complexity of their systems to what end? The CTSV makes more power and is significantly more reliable.
Or their marketing kills it before it had a chance. G8, GTO, SS Sedan, Regal wagon.
Either GM lags; or they try to lead, put out something half-baked, then kill it due to poor reviews just as it’s becoming a decent automobile. The Corvair, Fiero, and EV-1 are all examples (although GM made good use of lessons learned from the EV-1 later.)
I think you spotted the problem. The Blackwing was designed for large GT cars. Cadillac has no large GT cars, no plans for large GT cars, likely no budget for large GT cars.
As cool as the LT4 is, you gotta remember that the Blackwing has a distinct advantage in countries where you’re taxed based on displacement. Furthermore, the Blackwing probably gets much better fuel mileage than an LT4 due to the smaller displacement and the fact that it doesn’t suffer from parasitic draw/loss…
My thought has always been that the people that know its a Chevy engine don’t care, because its the engine that matters, not the badge; and the people that would care, don’t know enough about the vehicle to know it isn’t a Cadillac engine.
Why not in the new escalade? Wasn’t the one of the appeals of the escalade was that it used to be the only way to get the high power 6.2, then GMC got it and even Chevy...why not make it a little special.
Why though? The CTS and ATS V variants did quiet well with their corporate motors.
Trust me, I thought about it already. However, the real issues with big block swaps in Panteras are the torque thru the ZF transaxle and the length of the engine. The ZF transaxle is very expensive to rebuild and can develop problems somewhere above 500 lb-ft of torque. The length of most big blocks (looks like the…
Nope. It sure wasn’t. If you didn’t need the “L” version, you could get the shorter length one with a 4.2L V8 and 3 pedals. That’s right, this uber-luxury sedan could we had with AWD, N/A V8, and manual transmission. Really hard to beat. This is totally one of my dream sedans, along with a stick-shift D2 Audi S8 and a…

That's the magic of Brazilian VWs right there.
