When the Cease and Assist letter got dropped off by legal, Al was most relieved, saying it was "a blessing in the skies," and that when the case was finally behind him, he'd feel like "a Newman."

People at work give me an astonished "Wow! Aren't you good!" when I cut up 2 green apples mid-morning. It's fucking apples! Vegetables and hummus? YOU ARE DOING GODS WORK, SIR. People are fucking insane.
Amazing.
I don't even mean to sound like a dick. It took me pretty much a day each to read the first four Harry Potter books, which are enjoyable AND easy to read. I guess it's like my Umass degree says, I'm an idiot.
Is there a secret to it? Or are you simply aware the book is about people and features events?
You can read three books in one weekend? Did you read them while sitting in the tub while taking in IV nutrition?

This is probably lame, but hey, so is my commenting handle (LOL!), but I read that speech at work probably 3-4 times a year. I find it grounding. Although it busts me up a little knowing despite what he says in his speech, he did end up unable to deal with it all. Still, amazing.
Oh, same here. I have only some shame in saying I'm pretty sure I'm not smart enough to read it. 100% think it is hilarious, even though, no, I never got through the whole book. I had such a hard time dedicating the time/focus to keep all the characters, time jumps, unspeakably dense style, disjointed storytelling,…
