Ah, right. Thanks for the explanation.

Well, it kinda makes sense. Tony’s lost his fortune - again - and Peter basically has old-school Tony’s premise now, with a multinational company and a superhero bodyguard that really, really isn’t him, honest!

If only Tony’s facism would fare the same way.

Am I going insane or have I seen this and a few other articles on the front page before?

That’s like saying ‘the best looking autopsy’. It’s still not actually a compliment.

Hello, Neill Blomkamp!

There’s no need to foam at this man’s razor-sharp wit.

Dramatic pointing!

I hope they don’t dub him, just sub him. I can’t imagine him without Hiroshi Fujioka’s voice.

Skyrim 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Thank God they didn’t name it Saga or Scrolls.

Metal lodged in you, I believe.

Besides, it is called Mother Base.

I’m mystified that people think that the series needed closure. MGS3, Portable Ops and Peace Walker already spent hundreds and hundreds of hours showing us Big Boss losing his faith in society and retreating into the ideal of a post-political military utopia. How much of a hand-holding do you need at that point? If

But it isn’t a game about Big Boss. That’s the twist. That’s the swerve, that Big Boss is barely in the game at all. This is MGS2 redux, in the sense that the story is more metatextual about how the story of Snake is larger than any one man, except the swerve is hidden until the very end instead of a quarter of the

MGS4, too, where Old Snake will vomit and have hallucinations if you’ve killed too many people.

And if you’re a roleplaying type, you know that Snake wasn’t a Rambo-type goober who operated by blowing everything to shit. If you want to play the game ‘accurately’ then you have to live up to his reputation as the best infiltrator of all time.

You have a point.

Really, this game isn’t about showing how Big Boss became a villain; It’s a continuation of the whitewashing started in MGS2 to turn Big Boss into the series’ true hero. Remember, at the end of MGS4 he’s given a heroic sendoff.
