Your hypothetical people are not more important than the REAL people dealing with this in their daily lives. It's really limiting just out in the regular world, even without the difficulties of prison.

Oh, go fuck yourself. You're using bullshit hypotheticals to excuse and perpetuate the further oppression of a massively oppressed group. That pokes a nerve for good reason.

Show me where a man pretended to be trans* in order to access a women's prison, or locker room, or anywhere else that people claim men are pretending to be trans* in order to access women's spaces. This canard is trotted out every time the issue comes up and there's no evidence for it.

Except for that not being a real thing that happens, you're spot on.

I'd prefer to die alone. Dying in large groups is usually a bad way out.

I have no idea why your wife wouldn't want to have sex with you....

You don't understand fat acceptance. Fat acceptance is about accepting that people are valuable despite the state of their body at any given point in life. It's not accepting that their body is somehow healthy despite any ongoing problems. It's not about accepting that fat = healthy, or that fat should be a new

Yes, I was also shocked to learn that mammals have hair. Shocked.

Thank you for saying this. I'm a feminist who has lived in Japan for 18 years starting back in 1985 when Japan was saying it was the "age of women." I have known many Japanese feminists of many stripes over three decades and am proud to call them friends, and mike2k's comment pissed me off.

Harry used to get REALLY pissed off when people made that mistake.

Will people please stop referring to Debbie Harry as Blondie? Blondie was the band that she fronted - it's an insult to her and to the rest of the group. But judging what Miley said about Joan Jett and her leather pants, I really wouldn't expect her to know that difference.

On behalf of everyone, everywhere... get the fuck out.

*Sigh*

Your comment is so ignorant and hurtful, I'm not even sure if I should bother responding. But I'm going to try to respond in a way that might be helpful to others:

For those of us who are on Facebook and Twitter today who have also lost loved ones to heroin overdose regardless of however many people have died that way before them, seeing shit like this is not only totally retraumatizing, but trivializing, insulting, and deeply hurtful.

My brother wasn't stupid. His death wasn't

Well this place looks lovely! Check that logo, they must be a riot!

Those responses.. contain way too many.. ellipses .....

I'm with you. My brain is pinging between, "Kitty!" in a 5 year old's voice and "Kitty!" in a horrified, I-just-met-the-worst-monster-ever voice.

I don't want to fat shame the poor kitty, but I really, really, really dislike whatever owners let him get into this state. It makes me sad to see an animal so blatantly mistreated.
