I bring it up every time and nobody takes me seriously. Dame Judi Dench. She could pull off anything.

This is me on most days. Hopelessly befuddled by everything but then suddenly realizing I have a pint of Chunky Monkey left in the freezer.

Seriously though, First Avenger has been a source of strength:

This is Steve

Agreed, for the most part... but I still want a movie version of the Wicked musical adaptation. I don’t live in a theater town, and travel and tickets are expensive. Ideally it would be a Disney animated kinda thing, but everyone seems dead-set on live action fairy tales now, so whatever.

I also always kind of rolled my eyes at this. Not because it was queer-coding (I’m all for representation) but because it didn’t come from a place of genuine identification but rather, “Hehe, them two unconventional girls MUST be lesbian!”

See it as Bruce Banner and The Hulk meets Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and less a non-fiction diagnostic book on mental issues. It is really a straight up comic book supervillain origin story. And given that the bad guy can perform superpowered feats, such as bending iron bars with his bare hands and crawling up the walls

Psst, Heath Ledger won an Oscar for his portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight.

As an Arthurian whore I can tell you nothing on earth will stop me from seeing this.

These are more creative than past nominations and representing a wide range of stinkers. Thank you, nominating committee, for recognizing The Entire Cast of Once Respected Actors for Collateral Beauty.

I’ve always had a bit of a grudge with Hollywood and its presentation of people. Generally it fails to place people in proper context, gives people an unrealistic view of and expectations of the world, etc.

her acting was good BEFORE twilight.

She did some great work well before Twilight, including Panic Room and Speak. Nobody seems to remember she had a real career before Twilight.

So, are you against any film that features The Joker? Because this is the level of “discussing mental illness” this film features. From the very beginning the psychiatrist says this is not DID, but something knew and unknown, and the word super-powers is uttered early on.

The movie itself wasn’t bad. Not great but not bad. Kind of weird actually, tonally. The audience was cracking up at some parts. Others parts deal with some very serious subjects matters. And other parts are terrifying. McAvoy’s performance was sensational. The third act was intense but the twist reveal...had me fist

I get the attachment, but the role transcends the actress. Killing off Leia offscreen without given her a moment to truly shine is a mistake. Especially now that she’s no longer a princess but a goddamn general. Let General Leia whup some ass. No offscreen death, no stupid stunts (my god if I had dollar for every

I think it’s kind of hilarious - Jesus was around 30, Saint Peter was in his 30's and then suddenly you had to be old to be Pope, and if you’re young you must be Wicked Pope. Hmmm....

“As much as high-minded critics might not want to admit it, Suicide Squad was perhaps the most important film of 2016.”

Yeah but did he crawl out of a cgi pile of babies like this pope.

You can’t convince me that most of them aren’t, considering how the majority are Survival Girls.

I understand that as a show that’s being broadcast to millions of people around the country, and indeed, around the world, it should have some appeal to said audience. So I understand the argument for nominating popular, well-known, and high-grossing films. To say nothing of how a lot of films are nominated for
