FWIW I honestly didn’t find Room to be hard or overly distressing to watch. I mean you know what you’re in for, but it was focused on the little boy, and it calms down at the halfway mark. I wasn’t sure I wanted to watch it either but it was fine.

I felt bad for Vince too! It was just impossible to give a crap about his character. Like what do I actually care about a real estate criminal who’s chasing a few dirty mil? That was his whole plot. But for some reason I had kind of a soft spot for the show (I didn’t have so much of a boner for the first season, maybe…
I think the plot was more simple than it wanted to seem. The police chief, lieutenant etc. were into some mafia type shit, they were thwarting the investigation, Ray knew it, but for some inexplicable reason a team of three detectives insisted upon finding “justice” for some equally evil bastard they killed. Like,…
Yay!!! Makes me want to go home and slather it on right now.
It was me!! (probably). I’ve recommended that numerous times. It’s the best!
Yeah I mostly dumped Jez a few months ago. This site was just cheerier.
Rejoice!
Also I’m sad we won’t get Alex’s Liner Notes on the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s. :(
I’ll follow yooouuuu, Jane! This was a great blog with content as smart as it was goofy and an interesting and helpful comment section (more so than any other makeup/beauty blog I’ve ever read). Sad to see it go (or get merged). Honestly I don’t know if I’ll be coming back to Gawker once literally all my favorite…
For real. I rub that gunk all over my face and slap the hell out of it. Gets rid of any streaks.
Try a new hobby, honing a new skill, or becoming more knowledgeable on a particular subject. Anything you’re remotely interested in. Make a list of movies you’ve been meaning to watch and schedule watching one/two a night, or buy a few books and start reading ‘em. Or delve deep into a particular genre and become an…
Peppermint mocha, you complete meeeeeee
My HG black pencil is from L’Oreal and I feel like you should check it out. You want the Carbon Black one with the smudger. It’s SO INTENSE. I used it for my Furiosa costume to blacken up every bit of skin around my eye and it went absolutely nowhere for ten hours.
Yes. This L’Oreal pencil in the color Carbon Black (you want the one with the smudger on the end, whether or not you use the smudger). It’s soft and inky like a kohl pencil but sets and stays really well. Just as good or better than an Urban Decay pencil. Should be able to find it at your drugstore.
I’m going to get that Cry Baby in my next order, good to hear you liked it. I’m not fully into the white water line, either, even though I have smaller eyes and like a doe-eyed look. The “white” I use is Sephora’s Blonde Ambition. It’s almost white. I might actually get this one since it’s just a few bucks and Jane…
Three months of paralysis??? I didn’t know that. My coworker got Botox in her forehead (she had horizontal lines across her forehead? Idk) like four months ago and I couldn’t tell a difference at all. I didn’t even know until she joked about not being able to move it. Maybe she got “fewer units.”
Nice! I love hearing about ELF dupes. I’ll have to order some, thanks!
Yep, you totally do (or can. You can wear them alone, too if you want). You don’t want a super thick layer of the cream product, just an even one (some are quite opaque and don’t require layering).
Yeah, the surface has become more compact instead of spongy. The mattes moreso than the pearly ones. They’re still usable. I mean, if they came out with more purple ones maaaaaybe I’d have to get ooooone.
Yeah, I will not be buying any more of their blushes. Even though they work well and last super long on the skin, they started to dry out really quickly. Highlighters have been awesome, though.
