Re-reading this interview with the post-script in mind, do you think it is possible that she did know exactly who you were and that maybe that comes through in her answers? I don’t know. Her responses are really interesting, but (and maybe it is just me) it reads to me like she is slightly hesitant to engage or almost

Man, you guys owe this woman a 50-page apology. I don’t know why anybody hates her— someone didn’t like the sincerity level of a speech she gave and that’s why so many years of public abuse and loathing? Or something? But she sounds 10x smarter & more self-aware & more gracious than any writer here, in any event.

One of my favorite classes in college was a history of fairly tales which was not only fun but academic.

It’s such an odd and unexpected movie, definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. I loved the story, the setting, the cinematography and the cast (turns out dadbod Colin Farrell is really doing it for me), but I can see how many people might not like it. I wish more people had seen and talked about it.

Gosling, who I usually like, wasn’t very good in it and LLL was definitely the least interesting and least gripping out of all the nominations. They should have nominated Colin Farrell for The Lobster instead.

I can’t find anything “rewarding” about this. The La La Land people had a big moment taken away from them in front of a live audience and will surely be asked about this who knows how many times for the rest of their lives, and the Moonlight people never got their moment at all. How weird that you’re happy about this.

Moonlight: Best Picture,” spat Horowitz.

Moonlight: Best Picture,” spat Horowitz.

Marisa Tomei probably feels vindicated right now. This proves that if the wrong name is announced by mistake, they will correct it swiftly and everyone will look embarrassed.

I’m guessing (I don’t know the La La Land dudes) that the bald fellow who broke the news over the mic was the above-mentioned Jordan Horowitz?

I’ve never seen him before but I admire how he was serious as a heart attack about this. He wasn’t having any jokes, he was not putting up with any confusion, and he fucking

Cool. I don’t care about your opinion either, especially since you’re making assumptions about me. I don’t think she’s above accountability and I do find elements of the situation disappointing on her part. But, people, in general, disappoint. I’m not blindly worshipping anyone but I’m also not saying that someone is

Alright. I just think directing your moral outrage at her is sort of besides the point. In no way am I saying that those allegations are okay or should be dismissed. But, maybe you can save your anger for the producers and studio execs who keep distributing his films. Maybe you can take them to task for giving him the

Yeah I get that. Is it possible that she just didn’t know much about that situation until Dylan spoke out? And that made her approach it differently? I always thought people referred to him as a pervert because he married his step-daughter, which has always been seen as gross and creepy. But, I always thought the

I mean, I wish more people would pose these questions (why didn’t you cast a person of the race the original character is) to the producers/directors. Of course it’s good to have the conversation and get the point out there, but it’s not really up to the actors. Obviously, SJ could have turned down the project, and

Operative word is “started”. She’s a movie star now and doesn’t need to attach herself to 22-ep-a-year Freeform shit anymore. Big difference between that and a prestige HBO miniseries that probably only took 2-3 months of her time.

And let’s be real here. She is too good for a TV movie or a CW series. I find her irritating and am unimpressed by her acting, but her filmography makes it pretty clear she’s getting better offers.

I don’t think she thinks she’s too good for TV. She’s done it before. She’s also granola AF and seems very low key and not snobby. I think she saw an opportunity to get out of a project that was, let’s face it, guaranteed to be terrible and was something she didn’t want to be a part of (and probably didn’t have time

I don’t think it’s like that. She started on TV and has the HBO miniseries premiering soon.

Desperately wanting a particular acknowledgement, isn’t/shouldn’t be scandalous.

Probably. Because everyone else in the world knows Kelly Rowland is fucking amazing and would never dare to suggest such a thing.
