I used to love CeraVe—I went through at least two bottles of it! Take all your recs and head to Sephora for a massive sample haul. The good thing about moisturizer, unlike say, acne treatments, is that it only takes like three days to know whether or not it’s working for you.

Going to the derm would probably be good, just because s/he will give you a concrete plan instead of you gazing into a sea of commercial products not knowing where to start. Honestly, it doesn’t sound like you have too many things to “fix.” The derm might suggest laser or some other kind of procedure — but if you just

Zinc sunscreens tend to have a thick, gluey consistency but this one does not. It does contain dimethicone and other silicones found in popular primers, so it might work as a primer? I can’t really say because I’ve never found a silicone primer that made a difference to my eye, so I don’t use one. But might be worth a

Somewhere along the way I became allergic to chemical sunscreens, so I steer clear of all moisturizers with a built in spf (they’re usually chemical). So, I may not be the best person to ask. In the past I loved the Neutrogena stuff in the pale blue/white bottle (any of them, Ultra Sheer, Healthy Defense, whatever),

Yeah I would spritz with rose water and then put the oil on. Only a few drops. I mean, it worked, I just wasn’t blown away by it. I like my creams better.

My skin is really dry too and I always have to layer moisturizers because one just isn’t enough (no matter how bad ass it may be). Currently I’m using the Korean brand Belief: True Cream Aqua Bomb (refreshing, cool feeling), then layer over that Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar (has a velvety finish and smells like

I guess it wouldn’t surprise me if Paula’s Choice was bogus, but their descriptions of products seems to make sense to me, too. Like if a light-sensitive ingredient is in a clear bottle it will expire very quickly. I’ve never bought from them, so all the site has really done is saved me money by saying “don’t buy this

Oils can totally be used as moisturizer. They don’t work with everyone’s skin, though. I’ve tried a lot of them and never felt like they absorbed well. Rosehip oil is pretty good, though. The more “normal” or “balanced” your skin is the better your makeup will hold up.

It’s not irritating to the eyes like stinging or anything. If you rub too much into the eye it can, basically, collect in your eyeball a little bit and (just slightly) cloud up your vision for a few minutes. Worse if you wear contacts. For that reason I don’t like to rub these kinds of cleansers into my eyelashes

That’s a great mascara but so hard to remove! The Clinique oil doesn’t really cut it either. I don’t wear mascara every day so that’s not a deal breaker for me (and I don’t like rubbing those oils or melting cleansers into my eyes bc they clog my contacts). I’m surprised the Clinique makeup remover doesn’t do it. I

It’s a somewhat versatile product, too. If you apply any makeup with your hands you can clean them off with a quick half a pump. And if you do any waxing (depending on the kind of wax) the oil* may remove some of the sticky residue after you rip it off.

If you have more oily or acne prone skin, I would go with Clinique Take the Day off Cleasing Oil (or balm, if you prefer). It rinses off really clean and has never clogged my pores. The Ole Henriksen one is nice, too, and good to travel with, but thicker and more filmy. I feel like I can never rinse it off (although

The large fluttery bow is actually removable and it’s a much more palatable top without it. If you’re into crop tops.

Painting the skin would make it so fun!

It definitely does take some planning, and sometimes, money. If you own makeup and have any hair skills, though, you could be halfway to a great costume (and you can half-ass the clothing part). Some characters that would be easily recognizable just by the hair/makeup would be Furiosa (just add belts and boots), Mrs.

I thought normcore was gone but really it has gone too far.

They’re awesome! You have beautiful hair.

Yes. It’s pretty thin and watery, though. So for someone looking for full coverage and likely going to want to mix it with a fuller coverage foundation, F+B might dilute the coverage without really changing the color. I use it and like it, personally, but FridayFriday might want something thicker.

Most department store counters can mix and match for you. I’ve gotten custom foundation at Estee Lauder, Lancome, and the now defunct Prescriptives. But if you are committed to shopping at Sephora, you won’t get that.

Yeah it’s great for the under eye area!
