You won’t be able to lighten foundation with it, because it doesn’t come in a light enough color (I wish they made a white one! Why?!). But it will turn anything into full(er) coverage. Just put a dab on your forehead and each cheek (or wherever you need) and blend foundation over it. I used to mix it with L’Oreal

It’s tough. I don’t know why more companies don’t sell “mixing” foundations in white or very dark brown. If your tone is somewhere in the middle and a single shade in a formula doesn’t match you, you could buy two and mix together, but if you’re on either end of the spectrum, you’re SOL. It seems like a no brainer.

They're great pencils. So creamy!

I worship at the altar of Temptalia daily.

Well..... don’t take this as gospel but I *think* I can advise you on an order. Ones that I know contain large glitter and you would want to avoid are Cappuccino, Diving in Malaysia, Fairytale, Galaxy Girl, Starry Sky, and Tango Night. Pearly ones that I’ve used in the waterline with no issue are Love Affair,

FWIW I have a bunch of the Sephora liners. I put them in the waterline, even the glittery ones, no problem at all (but that’s just me, maybe you have learned something the hard way). Some of them are more pearly than glittery. I love ‘em. I have bought some UD ones and returned them because my Sephora ones are better

I run a few times a week and I generally dislike it (it’s boring because I have nothing to think about and I end up obsessing about my breathing and getting pissed off that it doesn’t match my steps), but it helps to have a buddy to go with. Then there is a sense of obligation. Otherwise I would slowly just quit

Is there a reason you don’t want to apply with fingers? Other than you’re trying to get use out of the sponge? I apply foundation with my hands and “slap” it into place. I think the finish looks good and there’s no/little wasted product and I don’t have to clean/sanitize any tools. I know people say there’s bacteria

It’s not. It preserves the style so I only have to blow dry and flat iron twice a week instead of every day. Less damaging as well and not as much hair falls out.

I don’t like the aerosol kind. They’re easy to apply because you just lift hair and spray underneath but they feel gunky to me and make my hair clump together. I got this from Sephora. I clip my hair up in lateral sections and dump some powder into my hand, then apply to roots with a dense powder brush (or powder puff

I’m assuming you’re using it right by dampening it first, which is supposed to keep it from absorbing foundation. Maybe you aren’t using enough product? I don’t like it much for foundation either. I LOVE it for setting powder. It doesn’t even have to be wet for that.

Instead of a whole smokey lid, try just a smokey lash line.

Oops, I meant the dry shampoo! (sorry)

What kind did you get? I just got one and I absolutely love it.

I never did one. I emailed about it but never got a bite, which I understand. I remember yours, a great one! The Portlanders I had forgotten about.

Oh yes yes. And someone who really enjoyed their makeover and was waiting for it to post I’m sure got passed over for that.

Which one was that?

I’m just assuming because right above the comment section it says “Jia Toletino’s Discussions / All Replies.”

Yeah, it’s like that “satire” Jez did on the maxi dress that no one thought was funny. I understand the angle but it’s not funny in theory nor in practice here. Not surprised to see Jia edited it. Madeleine’s makeup tutorials are funny, this isn’t.

Okay so for a two hour class you actually got to watch a MUA apply makeup on a real face in an instructional manner for the majority of the allotted time. Seems like.... a class to me.
