I thought the role of Tiffany was actually older than Pat, more like 40. I like JLaw a whole lot but I was disappointed in that casting and it made me like the movie less (loved the book). The character would have been way more interesting at 40, not just “young hot thing, kinda crazy,” and I agree almost any actress

Yeah, I only remember really being admonished about my dress one time and it was similar. I was taking off my windbreaker at my locker and was wearing a tank top underneath (it had thinner straps but not spaghetti, and I was like 11 anyway with nothing to see). I turned around to go to class and a security guard/hall

Now playing

She’s also had her makeup done frequently by Beau Nelson. Theoretically to bring out green eyes you would stick with “opposite” colors like purples, red-burgundies, red/orange-browns, and rose golds. She had a Beau Nelson look that was pretty fawned over on YouTube that used MAC Cranberry eyeshadow. Here’s a tutorial:

Seems similar. The lipglass lasts a pretty long time. It’s somewhat sticky as in hair will stick to it, but on the lips it kind of forms a “shell” after a few minutes, so if you press your lips together they will slide freely rather than lift the product off each other like tacky glue.

Such truth. They have so many best-selling neutrals. I’ve never gotten a full face at MAC but I’ve had them demonstrate some eyeshadows and cheek products on me and it wasn’t overdone. I *personally* have never felt pushed or judged at MAC. They do sport that full coverage look but I feel they also acknowledge that

I’m pretty faithful to their lipsticks, too. I’m just getting into their blush and foundation lines and I like what I’ve gotten there, too. Face and Body is a great, versatile foundation.

I’ve never bought a dazzle glass but now I want one. Was it more sticky than their regular lipglass? Most people say that the lipglass is sticky but I actually like it.

They are also somewhat reasonably priced on most items (the mineralize skin finishes can get up there) and I can’t give them enough credit for selling eyeshadow and blush pans for a cheaper price. Such a basic concept, why don’t more brands do this?!?!

I wear MAC to work every day. Face and Body foundation is basically a tinted moisturizer and nothing like the full face look you see on most of their SAs. They have plenty of tame blushes, eyeshadows, and lipsticks to get you through the week. Renee, if MAC treats you right, by all means rock that shit Sunday to

It does work pretty well—same vibe as the original Benetint. Matte lipsticks especially will stay put. I used to do this back when I first got into makeup and all I wanted to buy was lipsticks and mostly red ones. I only owned like two blushes and neither of them went with red lipstick. What color blush goes with red

Goddammit stop killing me.

You’ll never forget

My mother’s mother never forced any haircuts (I don’t think), but supposedly she herself preferred short hair and only ever bought my mother short haired Barbies—she never got a long-haired Barbie. My mother is 60 and to this day she hates the pixie haircut and remarks on almost every short haired (cis-het female)

Excellent point. Swoon!

It’s cool I’m up for it, I had some months off. ...For me it’s his red hair which I’m not sure is real or not but I don’t care.

Cool, thanks. I really liked Top of the Lake and that’s why I started watching this and then I just kind of burned out on the violence. BUT I will go back and finish it and I’m glad it got renewed.

Was Happy Valley that good? I watched I think three episodes and then stopped because I sensed it was about to get really dark (not that I didn’t see it coming but I was testing the waters) and was afraid I wasn’t going to like where it went in regards to repeated violence against women. But I liked watching Sarah

I read your first article and my only thought was “man I wish I could fly like that.” Then I scrolled to all the comments and I was like, “well this figures.”

Yeah my skin will react to lemon oil or lemon peel oil or whatever. I’ve seen that ingredient in a few face products and I’m like, why??

Yeah I’ve owned the Ozone liner for a few years, and I don’t use it that much. If I use lip liner I will just use a coordinating color from my too-big pencil stash.
