Unfortunately, this shapes our national dialogue about death and dying. The reason dying and death are so taboo is because of this platitudinous moronitude - garnished with a side order of mainstream religion.

I was in a car accident a couple of years ago, and one of my legs was badly damaged. I walk with a cane and a limp. I recently had a dream that I was on a moving walkway in an airport doing an elaborate partner dance with him. We were having so much fun! In my dream he was incredibly charming.
