I have owned phones with the fingerprint reader on the front and back, and the back is by far the superior placement.

Of course anything Apple does is OK. Me blinding fumbling to find the fingerprint scanner on the back of my phone allows me to unlock it before I even get it out of pocket. You’ve clearly never used a phone with a scanner on the back.

It wouldn’t “unlock” in the sense you’re thinking when you look at it. It doesn’t open the phone to the home screen. You need to swipe up for that. The look only unlocks the ability to open the phone

Android makers have simply moved the scanner to the back of the device, it’s an inelegant solution. Blindly looking for the right spot to touch on the back of your phone is a minor but crucial inconvenience compared to a quick press of the home button on the front.

Put a fingerprint scanner on the back. Done.

Same. I do the squeegee method, grab my towel that is hanging just outside the shower curtain and dry off in the warmth of the shower. I dry my feet as I step out of the shower onto the bathmat.

I use two websites, mindmyhouse.com and trusthousesitters.com. Have had enormous success with both. They have a rating and reference system for both the sitters and the owners, so that offers a measure of assurance that things are above board. Some owners like to do a Skype interview ahead of time, others are happy to
