Here's a few issues you might not have thought of:

I'm surprised not to see Richard K. Morgan in there. The Takeshi Kovacs novels have nice, hard Sci-Fi, along with thrills at every turn.

In newer version, you don't even need a remote - the rPi (And XBMC) supports HDMI-CEC, which means your TV's remote's signals are sent over HDMI to the Pi, so you only need one remote to control your XBMC box.

Hey! It's a Hybrid! Does that mean it gets to use the carpool lanes of the Gulf Stream? :)

Literally? Like the Addams family? "Tish! That's French!" *begins kissing heavily*...

Unfortunately, what other word could you use to describe people who refuse to use the perfectly good (and fun) imaginations they have been given, refuse to even consider things outside their normal realm of expertise, and deride and mock all those who do? "Mundane" is a kindness.

It really is just that simple. I married a woman exactly like your description. You just need to look far afield, and get to know someone before you get to judge them. The internet helps with that, you can communicate (and REALLY communicate) before you "meet", so the pressure and nervousness are really off.

"...as they wrap principle filming" I think you mean principal filming:

You want something with a screen. You want it to be as small as possible. So you start off with the largest component - the screen. That dictates your object has to be rectangular. So you make a thin rectangle, and you round the corners (for practicality - nobody wants a hand-held device that goes into a pocket that

...And cue the rabid flaming...

Good luck using that hard-drive with anything but Linux, which was kinda the point here.

Is it just me, or in the clip, did Cranston sound more like Bruce Boxleitner?

Actually, you're not locked into iTunes. Winamp will also do full syncing with iDevices.

As I apparently can't edit my comment, I'll add here that Wikipedia has a great summary of this phenomenon, which in the Earth's case is specifically called "Thermohaline Circulation": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermohaline_circulation

Except that most of the water on Earth IS being heated. If you heat a pan of water on the stove, it isn't just the bottom water that gets hot, everything does. When there is a temperature differential in a non-fixed substance (a gas or liquid), the particles within move and create convection currents. In the case of

2? From the looks of the interference lines on that screen, along with the bright spots, I'd say there's 3. Probably using Eyefinity or NVidia Surround.

Who needs that, when you've got NULLSOFT BEEP! http://www.1014.org/code/nullsoft/nbeep/

It's called "Fanservice", I think you'll find.

Right. It's called "Flaring", and birds, hang glider pilots and parachutists all do it.
