Very good summary. Blogs and the internet as a whole is very quick to reduce spent money down to a level to be understood by the masses, often sensationalising it.

Note that this isn't an early release of the finished game; it's just the latest Early Access build put on a disc and sold. You'll still need to constantly update as development continues, making this one of the most useless (if not interesting) games available today.

Outcast is one of the best games ever made for the PC. It is also, sadly, one of the most underrated, meaning that it's never got a sequel. Or a spin-off. Or even a shitty mobile game.
