I certainly don’t remember any criticism...

Nah, they stopped that with the Switch. They moved to a more open Marketplace system with extra license fees if a cartridge is involved.

But they’re not - they’re trying to force a financial disincentive to discourage people who finally get their meme car that they ordered in a moment of collective madness from flipping it when they realise it’s garbage & struggles to operate as an actual pickup truck.

At most, it’ll be an ironic Easter egg in some dreck like Ready Player Two...

Isn’t it clear that Hollywood (i.e. the entire production team) here was totally blindsided by Rowling about the number of planned movies?

She has a habit of pulling numbers, letters and entire sentences out of her ass when questioned - remember how it was explained, off the cuff, how, before toilets, wizards used to ju

Hopefully it’s actually made of lead...

Yeah, I’m sure it’s the latter - I listen to a few TV-related podcasts that were batch recorded before the strike featuring people who *would* now be striking following SAG-AFTRA’s announcement, so they’ve added a clarification to reassure that it was recorded before they had to down tools.

Aren’t they well past that stage already? Someone worked out very early on that both striking groups could get everything they wanted (and more) if all the studios just did away with a single top executive?

Indeed. I’ve had several discussions with close family members moaning that ‘they agree with the climate rebellion people but do wish they’d just stop blocking roads and disrupting sporting events’...

🙄

Billionaires don’t have friends - they’re just rivals who have piles of money that could be theirs.

Can we please address the real story here..?

You’re not alone - I’ve 90% given up on gaming because the industry wants to gouge on hardware costs and the software is a load of junk on release.

Yeah, this is my take.

The mistake you’re making here is equating the Xbox brand with the Xbox hardware.

Honestly, i’d be surprised if anyone actually put money down on Redfall outside of the PC release, which will likely be getting refunded via Steam pretty sharpish.

You literally cited NMS, which has rewritten its entire gameplay loop about 12 times.

Stadia failed largely due to it’s absurd ‘subscribe and sell’ business model.

But this was one of Elmo’s key goals - he wants to solely boost the right-wing shitboxes who willingly give him money.

All the talk about ‘Twitter is a town square’ is just framing when really, he wants to make a town square where the people who agree with him (or pay him) get to soap box whilst everyone else is either

You’re reaching so far with that anecdote that I think we’re going to need to see some receipts...

It’ll be interesting how the game transitions to UE5 with a new control scheme without scrapping some of the original puzzles... I can remember at least 2 that relied heavily on the idiosyncrasies of the different stances to throw the ball differently etc.
