I talked to the body shop manager at a Dodge dealer in the 90s who said he was repainting cars right off the truck.

A friend if mine in his late 20s and very buy American conservative bought one of these new with the Mitsubishi V6, which they didn’t tell him about beforehand. I thought he’d have a stroke when I told him.

Somebody that works at a McDonald’s here in my town DDs an Allante.

I really like the round headlights.

Won’t do it either. Or anything else on a North star if I can help it.

The true #1. Otherwise great list.

Having seen one up close and personal it’s not as large as you might think and actually looks like a modern interpretation of classic American luxury. I might seriously look at one once depreciation sets in.

You all realized Archie was portrayed as a man behind the times, struggling with a changing society? He was never really meant to be a hero. And frankly GLBT wasn’t really on the national consciousness then. Vietnam and race were and Archie was portrayed as wrong, in a comedic way, on those issues.

I’m not even going to try. Elhigh is a poet.

Old cars in general are getting just stupid price wise. That 78 thunderbird I saw on Craigslist today for 7500? Please. Some old cars are just old cars.

Since this is clearly COTD, what car are you sending yourself?

Had a favorite uncle who was a Ford and then, when we got a dealership in town, Toyota tech who said the same thing. A mechanic with dirty hands is just lazy.

Thanks for explaining the Karman line. I look forward to hearing Torch explain the Ghia curve.

Good thing Trump wasn’t golfing.

Sadly, COTD.

Signed,

So to be clear, and maybe it’s just me who isn’t, there are no non hybrid V6s?

So whatever happened to the compact Kia pickup we were supposed to get? Because obviously this isn’t going to be small or inexpensive and there’s still a market for that, right?

We do but you never see them configured this way. Almost all of them are box trucks. And as someone else pointed out, few younger working age Americans can drive stick so thats a non starter.

This is too much, but I think there would be a market for very utilitarian trucks like this in the US. Not everybody wants to use a stepladder to reach over a truck bed, at least if you’re actually working.
