That wasn’t the incident in the school in California was it?

Bearings usually growl when they’re going out. Have to repack them doing brakes on a ford truck anyway.

Love that roofline and the long decklid. I miss actual sedan looking sedans.

Nice seats. Love that color.

“Cmon just once, who’s gonna know?”

No. No you aren’t.

I might do it for say 3500. These are pretty cars. But only because I’m going to work today in a big room full of two post lifts and have accounts at 6 different parts stores. Otherwise I’d avoid this at any price. Old euros will break your heart.

Won’t happen. Safety regulations ( which I’m not saying are necessarily bad) have killed the small cheap car. And most people just think in terms of payment not sticker.

You’d think. I get an average of 3 “I just bought this 10 year old car at the buy here pay here lot now inspect it so I know how dumb I am” customers a week.

I totally agree with you..for cars. Trucks are a different story. And I think that’s what this person wants. Demand for the typical quad cab truck is so high they just don’t depreciate. And “work” trucks are typically worked half to death by the time they hit the auction.

Great effort David. We’re all proud of you for getting this far. Heck, the trouble you’ve had with this I’m impressed you got it running at all. Don’t let it get you down.

Say, weren’t they saying something about an investigation into Russian connections to the Trump campaign a day or so ago? Well that sure doesn’t seem important now so let’s all just forget about it.

The president has such breadth and depth of intellect that he is capable of holding many contradictory viewpoints on a given issue at the same time.

Came here for the Forward Look, was not disappointed.

So if Buick killed Holden what killed Ford of Australia? Surely not the economics of building cars in and for a comparatively small market?

An actual hatchback. Finally. I’ve said for years now that if we have to make all sedans fastbacks for aero reasons they ought to be hatches. How many new cars out there have plasma screen capable trunks with VHS slot deck openings? I really hope this is a trend.

Welcome to Indiana. Hope you enjoy your stay and best of luck on the rest of your trip.

The problem being you can’t make a new car like you could in 1992. Heck even airbags weren’t mandatory. Now you need side curtain bags, anti lock, pedestrian collision standards, even rear mounted cameras. Super cheap cars aren’t coming back.

My son has heard me say for years I wish I still had my first car. Determined not to repeat my error he is now restoring a ‘92 Escort sedan that he totaled rear ending a trailblazer. My mother gave him that car, it’s the only car she ever bought, she’s gone now, and no amount of reason will make him part with it.

And I wouldn’t have minded had I known. Principle and all.
