10 -12 years from now I’m going to ruin someone’s day. They’ll have bought one of these used from some little independent lot that bought it from auction with no warranty and no inspection and this system will have worn out, as everything eventually does. And I’m going to give them a quote to fix it that’ll look like

Water in the brake fluid will cause the copper to oxidize. Oxidized copper turns green (e.g. Statue of Liberty) and those tiny little copper flakes will chew up rubber seals and hoses. I have a little glass jar of the stuff to show customers and the old green fluid is even eating at its rubber top.

For comparison Bridgestone Blizzaks in the 235/35r19 would be 1800 before tax at a Firestone company store

Scary indeed. Serious question though. We had electricity for a hundred years before everything was online 24/7. Why not just air gap anything vital?

Possibly the most sensible idea I've ever heard on this subject. Which of course means it absolutely won't be done.

I've never even seen a Morgan in person but they look like a blast to drive.

See this in the shop almost every day. And this is one part where even the VIN can't usually help you if you lose it on an OE wheel. So please don't lose them. I don't want to hammer on your $400 alloy rim.

Ok you talked me out of it. Sounds like a 3 hatch is a much better choice.

This is freaking awesome. We should think seriously about getting this for the US.

I like old rear drive toyotas. Probably because I had a favorite uncle who was a tech at a Toyota dealer in the 70s and 80s. Buy the damn thing already. And post about it. A lot.

This thing is due a mid cycle refresh already?? I think I've seen less than 10 of them on the road total.

Had one in today getting an alignment. Way prettier car than the echo that succeeded it.

A 6000 I believe. We had one but not the top of the line like this one.

I’m 6'4". I drive a hemi ram to my shop every day. Look up big redneck on Wikipedia and my picture will say hey to you and invite you up to the house for supper.

I get that. I totally do. But I came of driving age when 6.6L Trans Ams could barely get out of their own way and 300 hp was unheard of in pretty much any “sports” car. So I’m ok with this. It’s all the car 98% of Camaro buyers need, or can handle for that matter.

Is there some kind of limited number exemption to the chicken tax ? Or safety regs too I imagine. Cause you could sell a few of these in the US. Probably not a lot, but definitely some, and for a good markup.

Wow. That was fast. You'd think that something like this would've been caught earlier. Anyone with assembly line experience out there to give some perspective? I only see auto industry screw ups after they're out of warranty.

These were great. A couple of times I chuckled out loud. The other people here in McDonalds think I'm nuts. You should do these a couple of times a year easy.

And the alternative is to drive with the windows down, which will create drag and reduce your mileage even more.

We had a 67. White with red interior 318 auto. Loved that car as a kid. I could fold the back seat down and lay under the glass.
