I actually didn't mind that when I saw it. I think they announced it beforehand. Those are actually robots, after all. And their ship wasn't in another dimension. If Star Wars were real, I would actually expect there to be a controlling signal of some kind. Maybe not. I think so, though.

The one in Phantom Menace actually made a lot more sense to me, I never questioned it. I also think it would have sent a stronger message to... the universe I guess, if other humans besides the Avengers helped out in some way. Maybe not.
