Makes me wonder if his real brand was always just contrarian, and back in the day that put him on the side of making good points. Now though things have shifted and his former ‘no one else is saying this’ is things lots of people say, so he flips to stay contrarian.

Seconding this^ It’s a rough drive too. Very few places to stop, lots of dust and heat. Living in central Texas, best I’ve ever managed to reach El Paso was 10 hours and that was fast. A border clinic on the panhandle of Texas with New Mexico would benefit towns like Amarillo, but they’re pretty small compared to the

This past summer it set up a dedicated metaverse team. More recently, it announced that the head of AR and VR, Andrew Bosworth, will be promoted to chief technology officer. And just a couple of days ago Facebook announced plans to hire 10,000 more employees to work on the metaverse in Europe.

The furthest reachback that caught me completely off guard was the return of Morning Aerobics. To my knowledge that appeared in the original Animal Crossing and nothing after that.

Not really, though I get where you’re coming from. But while it seems like you purchase them with “real” money, you’re actually first buying Steam Wallet money that then is used to buy the trading cards. Steam Wallet money can never be turned back into legal currency, so it has no real world value. It’s basically no

Depends on the person I guess, for me the NSO version is a lot more interesting just because of the portability factor. Back during the Wii U and Wii days I did exactly what you said. But with Switch I find I fully play through a lot of these older titles since I can do it anywhere. Of course, there’s only value if

This was my thought as well; If moving forward these sub-30 DLC packs are going to be part of the subscription, that’s actually a great model. If it stays as just this ACNH one then it’s pretty rough. I could also see a model where they rotate out the on offer DLC, but that would also not be a great move.

Is this something that’s come up before? It seemed so out of left field but I’ve not really followed mihoyo’s community teams

I don’t know, I’ve seen a number of reporters saying ‘If this is what came out of the investigation that they felt they couldn’t bury, we -need- to see what they’re not willing to reveal’. Whether or not that’s actually possible is a different matter, but I’ve gotten the sense that at least some investigative

Ah yes, famously marginalized group: the religious. Apples to apples really.

Seriously, more than anything this has just shown he’s a real “one arrow in his quiver” sort of guy.

and the less relevance there surely is in using the brand name for games that have nothing to do with what the public’s perception of them are.

This is what I don’t understand, isn’t offensive humor his entire brand? How can he possibly claim that people shouldn’t be offended by a deliberate attempt to offend? It’s nonsensical.

You left out the best part of how he doesn’t actually think he cheated:

Yeah I’m in favor of anything reducing grind, and always use Exp Share, but a toggle would make sense. Personally I’ve never really understood why Pokemon doesn’t have difficulty levels. If all it did was maybe make AI smarter and increase the level of all encounters by some multiplier I don’t think it would interfere

I mean that’s cool and all but you need a jailbroken Switch to get save data off it from my understanding. Kind of leaves most people like myself without options.

Yeah, personally I think the drive companies have to reassure people they’re working on that next big thing years before they’re even close to ready is a big contributor to rushed releases and over ambition. A lot easier to change stuff that isn’t working when the public hasn’t been promised anything yet.

The art style for me hit a very nice sweet spot of pixel art but still detailed. I enjoyed the demo and am very interested in this world they’ve crafted. I find I’m a lot more interested in just walking around and talking to people than the combat though. Something about it felt just sort of, like there wasn’t really

Not only that, but it gives variety to the audio experience. It’s a lot more fun to both play and watch someone else when you hear characters varying sounds, and not just the same couple of thwap sfx for 5 minutes.
