Mobile port is terrible news. The only reason I can stop playing Balatro at all is having it tied to my computer.

Aside from the morality of it, it’s also just stupid. A “heroes and villains” brand comes off like reducing historical figures to fictional characters. Reality as fandom essentially. Which if you view it that way then of course you don’t see the problem with including stuff from Hitler.

Kind of sounds like Sony’s first parties are getting wary of live-service, not that I’m complaining. Probably for the best but I am kind of curious if a two-player mode could work for Spider-man.

I really loved playing Payday 2 Solo even though it was obviously a very different and difficult experience, so it’s absence in 3 pretty much nixed any interest I had in it.

It’s roughly the same data that other platforms collect, but lawmaker concerns are mostly focused on the idea that TikTok’s parent company would be required to cooperate with the Chinese government if asked and that this could be abused to target specific users.

I dunno, it’s kind of funny to me that players are saying ‘what’s the point of just making it a copy of Arcade’ because back when they originally removed hero limits and later added role locks I remember all the players wondering ‘what’s the point of just making it a copy of Competitive.’

Bingo, I’ve played Overwatch for years but it never felt the same after the pivot to competitive focus. Yeah they allowed No Limits to be an Arcade mode where they never had to look at it again but the spirit of the community was different.

Definitely deserved, the demo alone got more hours from me than some full games!

Jesus christ these people are still hung up on Sarkeesian? Is it still 2015 for them or something?

If they’re anything like other far-right “everything I don’t like is a conspiracy” types, and at least in the case of this article’s subjects it sounds like they are, it probably is exhausting them.

Them including Zarya in their little meme is amusing. I get why she specifically fits their prejudices, but getting hung up on a Blizzard game for having “too diverse female bodytypes” is funny as heck.

Spending $75k to play IMVU but filled exclusively with men having midlife crises

Best reply to the Animal Crossing one I saw was “An experience by Redd the Fox”

I don’t own this game, only seen it streamed a few times but I didn’t know those progress bars were real. Kind of had just assumed they were just for flair to hammer home the “meaningless meatgrinder” vibe of the game’s world.

This reminds me of those hyper “realistic” skin packs that some people made for Minecraft, but worse cause there’s depth to the features.

Pretty much, it’s kind of like if Gmod was monetized, in that most content that people play on it is user made and the game itself is mostly tools to make or play said content.

This thread is pretty much my view, but it is interesting the way this movie comes up somewhat frequently and starts a “you don’t understand” discourse.

One thing that kind of has bugged me with this game is that it feels like the devs are trying to operate as though they still have the resources/money of Blizzard rather than embrace their smaller scope. Consequently the result is good at a core level but with a presentation that makes it look like a generic copycat

My understanding is that the game will be F2P always, not just Early Access. On the menu in the demo there was a button called War Chest which is probably Starcraft 2's War Chest system which was sort of like a proto-battle pass.

Glad I could help a bit, and hope you don’t think I was willfully misunderstanding you. You’ll have to forgive anyone who might be more combative about this, it’s very hard to tell on the internet when someone is asking in good faith and not just trying to draw people into a debate.
