exclusivity window’s up at the end of the month but maaaaan, it sucks being a JRPG fan who really doesn’t want to buy a playstation. FF seems intent on doing these stupid timed exclusivity deals, Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest might not come to anything else at all and the rumors re: Persona 6 are not sounding good.

The really wild part about all this is seeing Square Enix announce an entry in one of their long-running RPG franchises and actually attach a release year to the end of the trailer.

I still can’t believe they had everyone sit through Anthony Mackie’s uncomfortably painful attempts at being funny only to have the actual winner of the award he was there to present get a FRACTION of the time on screen.

To be fair, we are talking about the long-awaited sequel to the game that has consistently been in the top 5 most popular, highest grossing, best selling games every year for an entire fucking decade since it’s release.

Well, corporations gotta protect their image. You don’t want to be seen as the guys who are replacing thousands of human jobs with an automated system that does a passable (at best) job of what they did for a fraction of the cost, so you gotta pin the blame elsewhere because there is no way you are not taking that

Shame it’s not doing well. They should just start marketing it as “The Next Gen Console You Never Have To Actually Buy Games For” because man has that been the selling point for me.

I get you on the radio silence thing but also I kind of appreciate that while we always know a new sequel to a franchise of theirs is obviously coming, Rockstar tends to prefer not to officially announce anything until they have something substantial to show and the ability to actually release it within a reasonable

Not really a “disdain” for the arts- more of a general disinterest.

Wow. I can’t believe they mistreated and exploited the contestants on the real-life recreation of a game that revolves around mistreating and exploiting desperate people for the sake of entertainment.

I’m quite partial to the Classic Generations version of Escape myself, I just love that bit where they reference the melody from Endless Mine.

People are really out here debating whether or not BG3 is GOTY when it’s patch notes alone are more entertaining than half the games that came out this year.

Let’s make this very clear-

I think the excitement you get from Starfield is entirely relative to how many Bethesda games you’ve played before. I could definitely see someone getting really into it if they’ve never played one before.

/casually gestures to the end of the massive line-up of other people angry about a chinese company making cheap knock-offs of their products.

Okay, but does this feel like an actual complete 8 episode season that happens to end on a cliffhanger and leave room for a second season or is it more like Castlevania Nocturne where they have very clearly and deliberately only released half the episodes so they could release the other half as “Season 2" down the

Sorry, let me translate that Nu-Blizzard PR speak for you:

Ah the magic of being a fan of classic Sega games and realizing for the first time that you can go into the Sega arcade and actually play the arcade machines.

Nothing wrong with that. Not everything will be for everyone. I’m a big Persona fan and even I find 5 a bit on the slower side and occasionally groan at some of the overused anime tropes. I feel like the slower pace lends itself well to first-timers or people who are maybe more into the life sim side of the game than

You know it’s bad when Octopath Traveller II even gets snubbed from the list of things that got snubbed at the Game Awards.

Ill echo everyone else here and say you definitely owe it to yourself to check out Persona and/or Yakuza if you haven’t already. Easily Sega’s two best properties (Persona 5 is a fine place to start with that series and as for Yakuza, Yakuza Zero is great if you prefer action-based games and Yakuza: Like a Dragon is
