Octopath Traveller 2.

No judgement here.

If I can grossly oversimplify for a moment, I think it boils down to two things primarily:

I mean it doesn’t help that they seem to have just completely forgotten that Octopath Traveller 2 was a thing this year. Wouldn’t call it the best RPG of the year but it certainly deserves the recognition over Starfield and Lies of P.

So are we all just agreeing that whoever did the nominations this year just completely 100% forgot that Octopath Traveller 2 came out in 2023?

Every time I see this thing I can already picture it right next to the Ouya and Virtual Boy in the thumbnail of some “Top 10 Gaming Failures” youtube video a few years from now.

Think that ship sailed sometime around the Overwatch 2 update when the game hard-transitioned to just being a vehicle for selling skins and other digital goods.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO “SWITCH 2".

I just liked how a couple of the friend/rival characters were given two personality traits they would constantly bring up in every dialog instead of just the usual one.

He’s the marketable mascot character, of course they’re gonna put more focus on him. They want the game to sell. What a concept.

Look if they’re gonna charge what they charge for these expansions, I just want the “conclusion to 10 years of storytelling” to have some kind of actual conclusion.

We’ve also seen players remove Leon’s shirt from the Resident Evil 4 remake using mods.

Which is pretty on-brand for FNAF, really. It’s always been a franchise that I liked the IDEA of but the execution just never got there.

It IS “Classic”! 

The movies just felt so much like “softcore porn for nerdy tumblr girls” that I genuinely feel bad for whoever had to clean the theatre seats after each showing.
