Meanwhile I’m still over here pronouncing Bahamut like he’s the canine sidekick of the Baha Men

Doesn’t necessarily need to be 1:1 to qualify as an adaptation, just needs to make the attempt to take the plot of a video game or even just the broad strokes and convert it into a story that works as a movie or TV series.

I know it’s the mobile market and the whole thing is just money-grab clone city but it still feels yucky to me having a big developer like Bethesda reskinning other popular mobile games from smaller developers just to make a quick buck.

I love Arcane but I don’t think it qualifies as a “video game adaptation” in the sense that it isn’t really adapting” a video game.

That’s because Overwatch 2 isn’t Overwatch.

Meanwhile, in every $5-and-under video game bargain bin to ever exist...

Yeah. Been a while since that whole shitstorm blew up on twitter but I do recall several of the conversations posted included him openly acknowledging- in the conversation- that he knew the person he was talking to was underage but then saying some creepy shit anyway.

Gonna be really funny if they can somehow get fucking RDR2 running better on the Switch than Pokemon.

The domestic violence charges were dropped, yes. I’d imagine the dozens of screenshots and saved convos of him leveraging his position to send inappropriate messages to minors was kind of the bigger deal to the company that makes cartoons for teenagers.

Ah, my bad. Thanks for the correction. Influencer culture’s just got me down, I suppose.

Of course the youtubers who get early access to the set and given 1000 packs are going to be dishonestly hyperbolic about how good the set is.

I get you. I love my smooth high-framerate stuff on PC but I am also perfectly capable of enjoying something like Kirby and the Forgotten Land which runs at a locked 30fps. It’s definitely all about the experience as a whole.

I’d understand if Nintendo wanted to start going digital-only what with all their major releases being dumped and pirated en masse weeks before the official release, but what the hell reason does MS have to not offer the option?

I think it depends on what you’re personally accustomed to. I was just coming off playing Persona 5 Royal on PC where I had become accustomed to playing most games at a minimum of 120 fps. So Pokemon’s constant fluctuating between 20-30 fps was VERY noticeable and felt very clunky to me. On the other hand, my daughter

What I take from this obsession with buying Nintendo is that Microsoft/Phil Spencer don’t actually care that much about giving people the kind of products Nintendo is producing but rather they just want to own the IP. They want Mario.

“Sure, they paid full AAA price for our half-baked, buggy, ps2-looking Pokemon game that barely runs half the time, but is the Stockhome Syndrome strong enough that we could actually convince them to then pay additional money to us for added content that somehow runs even worse?

Can someone please make a wildly successful Earthbound movie next?

I mean, to be fair, unless you had a second player, Luigi didn’t really do much (or even appear) in 2/3 of the games called Super Mario Bros.” either.

The problem I’m having is, if I’m going to just ditch hundreds of dollars and hours in Unity because some CEO is running it into the ground, where do I go?
