I feel 2D Sonic (at least the good ones) do revolve around platforming accuracy (at both high and low speeds) but it’s just a different type of design.

Rune Factory’s alright. I played the first 3 or 4 of them. I always felt like the farming and combat were both passable but had both individually been done a lot better by other games of the time. Having both elements in one game was a novelty though.
