Pretty bold of them to include voice acting in a trailer for a game that will exclusively feature characters silently mouthing words next to text boxes for the entire thing.

Just wait it out. They restock frequently.

The Animal Crossing expansion it comes with costs $25 on its own. I assume thats how they’re gonna justify the price. The N64/Genesis collection are just the other $5.

Well I mean, as of right now the options for the sixty bazillion Animal Crossing players on Switch are:

It affects difficulty quite a bit actually. At least during the main campaign.

Sure they add difficulty. You have to actually make a decision regarding which Pokemon gets which move. As opposed to half your team (or more) getting a new 95 Power supermove every time you pick up a nice TM. Having to choose who gets which move based on how well they can use it and what coverage they need adds a

I mean, that could be mitigated by just having a shop where you can buy them all (For money or BP) in the post game. Not really any different than how they handle other competitive items.

Exp Share is always on: Pokemon fans complain because it makes the game easier.

That’s not really the fault of Exp Share but rather the developers not balancing around it’s inclusion. There are a couple fanmade mods for Sw/Sh that do a much better job of factoring the Exp Share into the difficulty curve.

Sure, if by “the Switch can run The Witcher 3 and Crysis” you mean “it can sometimes maintain a playable 30 fps using heavily modified versions of the games with very low resolutions and PS2-era textures”

Judging by the US’s willingness to accept the government’s advice regarding the virus that’s now killed over 700k of their people, I’d imagine the transition to metric can made with only a decade or two of riots and “not my measurement system” protests.

So Nintendo’s totally gonna buy up MercurySteam next, right?

You know, maybe people would be more willing to accept the “Marvel characters can have many different interpretations” argument if Square Enix wasn’t trying SO HARD to make this look and sound like a shitty bootleg version of the movie universe.

Yes, this. I wasn’t quite sure how to put it into words but this is one thing I LOVED. The cutscenes do so much for Samus’s characterization without her ever speaking a word.

I commend the work of the devs and think the whole project was a really fun idea.

Like basically everyone else, I think this game comes up short compared to Super, but I think it’s a pretty strong “second best” as far as the classic series goes (and I LOVE Metroid Fusion so take that as you will).

My favorite anime of all time are:

You’re absolutely right that fatphobia doesn’t need to exist and should definitely be discouraged in games marketed to a western audience where overweight people are already the targets of a lot of unwarranted abuse.

I don’t know which part of “This will be a faithful remake” Pokemon fans keep misinterpreting as “there will be a bunch of new content”, but I think thought they made it pretty clear from the get-go that this game is literally just Diamond and Pearl with a graphical update and a few quality of life improvements.

My understanding was that the co-op/PvE/Story Mode was to be the main selling point of OW2, but as usual they only seem to want to talk about various competitive tweaks and Overwatch League so I can already feel my interest in the game fading fast.
