Look, I know the game is designed to be a more fleshed-out, standalone experience. I know that had I not played FFVII ,I would probably have no issue with the amount of content on offer here.

2016: To promote a healthy meta, you can no longer choose the same hero as someone else on your team

RIP Etika. Still miss the guy. Still think about his legendary freakouts, still think about all the encouraging things he had to say during his streams despite his own struggles.

*America, Fuck yeah!” plays whilst Johnny Cage crushes Sonya Blade’s skull with a single bare hand whilst using his other hand to shield our precious eyes from her writhing corpse’s exposed nipple*

Thanks. This is new for me. Usually I’m one of those mid-to-late-December Scramble kind of guys

As a father of two with several nieces and nephews who just got done buying Xmas presents, I can assure you it is still very much a thing.

I really hope that with Sony adopting the Nintendo Direct approach for game announcements that maybe they’ll stop announcing big exclusives six years before they’re finished.

I guess it’s worth pointing out, since the article doesn’t state this, these are not the original NES versions but ports of the Android/iOS versions. (Which is not a bad thing at all, they’re great ports, just watch for some changes in the levels spells are learned at in DQ2, some are learned at much later levels)

Neither of them is red.

I try not to encourage that whole. “mob mentality” thing that’s all the rage online these days but here’s a guy who absolutely deserves the social media lynching he’s about to get.

I know people have issues with the cyclical nature of BD’s story.

Octopath was a neat looking game but it was REALLY repetitive and dull even by JRPG standards. The story revolves around assembling a team of eight characters, each of whom has their own storyline to follow, but every one of those storylines constantly assumes the character it’s based on is the only one present. “Banjo and Kazooie will join the fight in late October as part of the game’s 6.0 update.

Probably some sort of tribute to Ivysaur who was (as of the patch being used at Evo) a killing machine able to kill at relatively low percents with his huge hitbox aerials. As of the most recent patch Ivysaur had that aspect pretty heavily nerfed while Charizard had several attacks buffed, definitively shifting the

*Unless you have a lot of Twitch subscribers and have achievedabove the rules” status, of course.

I get not wanting to see an innocent person be harassed over something silly like a video game but the rest of the article trying to justify this super predatory practice is just disappointing.

Itoi has never once said the series is “done” or “finished”. In fact, he’s been quite explicit in his wishes to see a new Mother game made some day by someone else so that he may experience it as a player rather than the creator.

Personally I’ve coined the term “Backtraction Platformer”

FF7 remake looked great but I personally spent the entire duration of the presentation hoping to hear the words “Bravely” or “Chrono” at some point.

I feel like it’s definitely more of a “we’re not doing E3 this year because all the major projects we focused on last year still aren’t out and we’d only be showing the same things” case for Sony, but I guess we'll see how the Nintendo Direct format works for them over the next year.
