Eh, the British are free to abolish the monarchy and adopt a constitutional republic form of government whenever they want. They don’t seem to be in a rush to do that, whatever the complaints about the royals.

I did, but only because I’m evil. I mean forgiving. Did I say evil? I totally meant forgiving.

(but somehow, it seems, not Taylor Swift)”

Yes, and as much as I hate to give them even a small portion of credit, Jared and Ivanka were likely fine with that -- it would be awkward af to sit with the likes of Katy Perry and Diane Von Furstenberg knowing they think you’re complete trash (correctly, of course).

There’s a term for it (well, at least there’s a term for it in one of my friend groups, wherein we had one such couple): dopplebangers.

Let’s be real, Karlie and Josh invited them to be there on Thursday. Only Thursday.

This would have been prevented had the baby been allowed to carry her own gun.

Lost in the horror of other specifics of this incident is the way it’s casually noted that Echartea just happened to have a gun on his person.

I’ve never met anyone who says “Not all men” in any of its myriad variations who is not part of the problem. Anyone who injects that into these conversations is willing to overwrite women’s experiences with their own sense of entitlement that their egos must be taken seriously.

I think about the time I posted the Margaret Atwood quote here and got flamed for days from men who thought it of vital importance that I recognize that it is #NotAllMen. They cited examples of all the times they got rejected and didn’t attack anyone (of course they didn’t get rejected very often because they were

Alice Cooper was The reason to watch Rock and Jock golf back in the day.

I worked briefly for an older musician who told me not to ask him any questions about my favorite musicians, because most of them were dicks, and I’d be disappointed. Then he said, “Except Alice Cooper, he’s just the greatest guy and no one has a bad word to say about him.”

son of a preacher rebeled with rock n roll came back to it full on with vaguely religious themed violent rock lol. he was friends with Groucho Marx a big golfer and saved the Hollywood sign at one point.

not a single bad thing seems to exist about the dude.  he’s tres kewl.

He’s also one hell of a golfer. He credits it for saving his life from alcoholism. (I’m not saying this to be sarcastic - I freaking love Alice Cooper.)

I love almost everything about Alice Cooper, but I do hope this is something they wouldn't really do. Their kids don't need to lose them both at the same time, at the very least.

Oh man, that reminds me I saw Puck on the 30 Stockton in SF a little after that season.  He was gross.

Holy shit. I just got dragged back to my childhood. *sigh* That was peak Real World.

I used to love him. I remember her wrote that note about there not being enough diversity in the house and everyone assumed Stephen wrote it. Someone needs to find Cynthia and Dan from RW: Miami. I loved them and would love to know what they were up to now.

Real World: Seattle was the last full season I watched after taking a break for two seasons (Sorry Boston and Miami). After San Francisco (high water mark, in my opinion) the series seemed to take a turn toward a “hook up” focused pursuit as opposed to the dynamic of folks from different backgrounds.

Sometimes my high school bestie and I still shout, “I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW!” at each other because of the David-Kira car scene.
