Self-medicating with drugs and alcohol is a common way of coping with the isolating symptoms of mental illness. Fisher has spoken at length about how substance abuse can seemingly counter the symptoms of a condition, offering a false sense of normalcy (sometimes even euphoria) when they become too great to cope with…
I’m sure you’re not alone in Harrison lust. But it’s not universal. I do not share this sentiment. Like, not at all.
Because he is desperately hoping that Bernie Sanders voters like me are going to go “oh, I guess I’ll vote for Trump now durrr” which is NOT fucking happening. I will be wearing my Bernie shirt, but I will HAPPILY be casting my vote for Madam President.
You're not growing the wheat or the avocados? Poser.
Step 1. Grind all flour by hand.
Step 2. Knead Bread like a cat for like hours.
Step 3. Bake bread in the stone oven in your cabin in the woods.
Step 4. Cool Bread and watch for bears
Step 5. Cut Bread with axe
Step 6. Get in your land rover and go to Whole Foods for avocados
Step 7. Go back home.

Y’all should check out the new recipe on my app - Cap’n Crunch with milk.
I work with rescue, and you are 100% right. I see a lot of people going back to breeders because of the insane hoops they have to jump through to adopt from some rescues. The people running some of these agencies are control freaks with no sense of reality.
My mom is a crazy cat lady. (Note: They are all very well taken care of.) She has one that is an indoor/outdoor cat. She’s tried and tried and tried to make Timmy (who, btw looks like he’s a Dr. Seuss character.) an indoor cat, but he’s not having any of it. If he doesn’t get to go outside, he will start peeing on…
Freezing is apparently not an uncommon response to sexual assaults of various sorts. I probably wouldn’t know that if not for jezebel commenters. I would love to see the freezing reaction addressed more here and elsewhere, along with suggestion for possible ways to stop it from happening.
I’m actually really glad we’re not hearing any of that. Baby steps, I guess.
DING DING DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!
Everyone is focusing on what the abuser did wrong, but I don’t hear anyone talking about the important thing — how did the victim bring this on herself?
Perhaps they do know it’s inappropriate but don’t care?
FFS, just keep your goddamn hands (and other bits) to yourself! Even very young kids who think Spiderman and Santa are real people can generally grasp the concept behind not touching.
Why do adults, particularly men it seems, not get this?
If I were on that plane, I would likely be pissed at the diversion. However, I would remember that this guy is learning a lesson he will never forget (and hopefully pass it on to his bros), and one diverted flight is a small price to pay if people start to learn about consent. Stop kissing and giving tea to sleeping…
so I guess now women are required to remain conscious at all times to not attract this kind of irresistable attention. BARF.
Did you really just bring Crime and Punishment into a cat post? Bravo.
Yeah, I’m actually having this dilemma right now. There’s a young cat hanging around the neighborhood and it keeps coming to me when I get out of my car, starved for attention. I see other outside cats in the neighborhoods, but they are relaxed and content and just ignore everyone - which to me means they’re well fed…
This conversation has taken a swift turn to the axe-murderish that I am not entirely comfortable with.
