I couldn’t agree more with this statement. Unfortunately I didn’t get the memo and started riding a street bike before I got into dirt riding, but I never dropped or crashed my street bike which I started riding right after completing the MSF and getting my cycle endorsement.

All the “fun” stuff didn’t occur until I

I guess I consider myself “very” luck that I never dropped or crashed my first motorcycle. I bought a two year old Ninja 650R and it, like the SV650 is a great starter bike. Very balanced and easy to ride, quick enough to have fun, but not scary quick like a 1000cc bike.

Actually it wasn’t until I got my second

I’m glad I refinanced my house and made a car purchase at the beginning of this year while rates were still low.

The one thing I forgot to do was replace my windshield wipers. Did almost everything else from snow tires, weather tech floor mats, ice scraper, even washed and put one last coat of wax on the car but didn’t check my wipers and had to drive through two white out conditions with my windshield streaking really bad.

A used V60 T6 R-Design which has a factory Polestar tune is about $5-10k out of her price range, but certainly attainable.

Hell the V60 T5 would probably work and those can be found for under $30k used with low miles.

I wish I knew that used manual Cayennes with decent miles could have been had in that price range. I would have probably bought that over my V60 T6 R-Design, had I known that.

I transitioned from riding a street bike to a dual sport and haven’t regretted it. My first bike was an 08 Ninja 650R and now I ride an 03 DRZ400S. The DRZ cost half of what I paid for the Ninja 650R when I purchased both used.

I’ve had more fun exploring and riding on dirt/sand/gravel where I had to stop and turn

I agree. But to say that the guy was the nicest and most wonderful leader ever is simply ignoring reality. I think Trump should have just stayed quiet on the topic if he wants to continue improving relations with Cuba.

Personally I’m in favor of lifting the embargo on Cuba, but at the same time, I also respect Trump’s response over Obama’s and Trudeau’s “politically correct” and “diplomatic” responses.

The MSF Basic Rider Course (BRC) is a great start and I highly recommend taking it, but in order to improve your riding skills, you have to RIDE.

I took the MSF BRC twice. Not because I failed the first time, I almost passed my riding exam with a perfect score, but because it’s so cheap and educational I took it again

Yeah, that’s a good point with the XC90. Well I got nothing, then!

That’s because EVERYTHING in CDN $ is more expensive. :)

Ditto and it can be said for majority of consumers. They just want to sit up “higher” more than anything.

Unless you live in a rural area and live on a dirt road where you do the majority of your driving, the lifted wagon is just to cater to American consumers’ preference of sitting up higher.

Volvo was known for having reliability issues, but that was back in the mid to late 90's. Their reliability score did take a dip in the most recent J.D. Powers & Associates ratings, but that seems to more skewed due to the lower volume of cars in which they sell compared to the other larger auto-makers.

I just bought

I’m not a fan of the CC version or lifted wagons for that matter, but if that’s what’s keeping wagons selling in the U.S., then I’m all for it as long as it’s not the only option like what Audi is doing with the All Road and Subaru did with the Outback, then I’m all for it.

I just want a regular wagon variant offered.

It’s also because of crash test safety ratings. Having a seat so close the the rear of the car makes it more inherently dangerous for the occupants sitting in that back seat. Considering how large crumple zones are in cars these days, there’s just not enough room for it to be as safe.

Not a wagon, but my father in law

Because no other auto maker spends puts as much time and development into their seats like Volvo does. Jalopnik posted an article not too long ago stating that Volvo spent like 5 or 7 years developing the seats of the new XC90.

15 V60 T6 RD owner here. Can confirm on the seats.

Yes, I knew about the reliability issues with the the 2.8L TT V6. I did not know about the emissions issues though.

Yeah but the sad part is that they were sub-par in every other category.

I’m still bitter when Buick brought the GS Stateside, showed it at the Detroit Auto show with everything that the Insignia OPC had, and then completely gutted it from what the Opel Insignia OPC had. Let’s just drop that sweet twin turbo V6 and
