Hey now, I’ve been doing my part and buying cars with manual transmissions for the last decade. Ok, only two out of four of them were new cars, but that’s besides the point, or something like that.....

You can also buy an All Road with matching color fenders which makes the All Road look a little less hideous. It’s still lifted slightly but not as much as previous generations. I too would prefer just an A4 Avant.
Audi (in my personal opinion) executed on the A5/S5 Sportback way better than BMW did on their GT variants. At least the 5 series.
But I agree, they are cop-outs compared to a tried and true long roof.
Totally. The KLR650 is a jack of all trades. It’s not gonna ride as nice as a BMW GS with street tires, but it’s gonna ride way better than the lighter/less powerful dual sports with off road tires. Just as it’s gonna handle the dirt better than the larger adventure bikes, but not as well as a lighter dual sports with…
As you mentioned the weight is what makes the KLR comfortable on the road and powerful enough to handle highway speeds. But it’s a double edged sword because that weight is what hurts it on the trails. But for dirt roads/two tracks it does just fine.
I just got into the dual sport scene earlier this year. Rode an 08 Ninja 650R for a couple seasons, and only rode on the street prior. I much prefer dirt riding.
I bought an 04 DRZ400S back in May, but like Andrew pointed out the dirt bikes turned dual sport, aren’t great for long distance riding. I’ve only done one…
I’d be curious to know the specifics of the “engine block enhancements”. Does that mean that the turbo is stock as well as the rest (intercooler, injectors, exhaust, CAI, etc)?
I agree on the manual. I think a manual in the V60 T6 R-Design and even in the Polestar would make it “almost” the perfect vehicle. The last three cars I owned were manuals, so it was definitely a tough choice. I don’t miss it when driving in rush hour traffic, but I do miss it driving everywhere else.
Funny that you…
Funny that we both came from Japanese sport subcompact 5drs! My wife and I are expecting our first baby in April, so I figured that the V60 would be a slightly better alternative, yet still fun enough to not make me want to kill myself for driving something too mundane.
They definitely are! I wanted a manual V70R like you. Same story pretty much. Yeah, you must have every single option on yours.
Mine doesn’t have navigation or premium sound. It has BLIS, City Safety Automatic braking, heated seats, moon roof. I’d have to look at the window sticker too to see what else it has. I read…
But who’s building the robots? Is it a Chinese robot, or Mexican robot? Don’t get me started on those Mexican robots.....
Ditto. I picked up a ‘15 V60 T6 RD with 12k miles for $32,995 back in May. Mine only came with the balance of the factory warranty however. The MSRP on mine was $46k.
“...as I prefer not to spend my dollars that go to a Country such as China for many reasons.”
Yet the vast majority of products you buy every day are made in China. Whether you want to or not, you still are.
It’s no Mercedes, but I got my first taste of an inline 6 shoved under the hood of a 2015 Volvo V60 T6 R-Design earlier this year.
Now I definitely understand why the inline 6 love exists. Figured I’d upgrade to a V90, but this has me very interested.
Was it a sedan? I had an ‘11 WRX 5dr hatch and it was pretty damn practical. Maybe not with two kids and all of their stuff, but it could fit a lot of stuff otherwise.
Acura should just give up. Or stop selling cars and stick to SUVs. I say this as a former RSX Type-S owner as well. Not because the car was bad. In fact it was probably my 2nd favorite car I’ve ever owned. But Acura’s current car offerings are a poor attempt at competing with the other luxury car companies.
Price is a little high, but not compared to what they used to be at when I was looking for one 5 years ago. I would have jumped on this one.
I never got an opportunity to test drive a Ford Flex Ecoboost AWD, but it was on my list along with a Focus RS, and Golf R when I bought a new car earlier this year.
I felt the Flex was going to be too big for my needs and drive/handle more like a crossover/SUV instead of a car.
Ended up finding something between a…
I agree, but V70Rs are almost impossible to find in good condition especially manual transmission ones. Like one or two popped up on BAT recently and were well within the budget specified however.
“I want the sportiness and practicality of a 3rd gen WRX/STI 5dr hatch, but I don’t want it to be a Subaru....”
