The only Subarus that I can think of that have started to “appreciate” after reaching their lows is the GC8 2.5RS, and maybe the BRAT.

I highly doubt after 10 years of depreciation the values FoST or FiST will start to appreciate. Hasn’t happened with Focus SVT, Cobalt SS, or Neon/Caliber SRT-4s or any domestic sport compact variant. Their volume is too high to be considered highly sought after. Especially if both models “names” are still selling 10

Yup, I’d just get an STS rear mounted turbo kit for around $5k that’s all bolt on and avoids any overheating which seems to be an issue with front mounted turbochargers with the FRS/BRZ/GT86.

The Volt’s not selling because it’s also too expensive for what it is. Of course I understand this is new technology and am glad that the 16 Volt is going to be cheaper. But the base model of the Volt needed to sticker in at less than $30k before federal tax credits to really be viable. I like the Volt and for someone

Yes I’ve heard that as well. Although I too have my WRX flashed as well (with a Cobb AP) and read a bunch of contradicting threads over on NASIOC whether or not that leaves a trace regarding if the ECU stock map was changed.

I might be doing the same but with a 15 or 16 MY Golf R. The latest APR tune (w no bolt ons) gives the ‘15 Golf R like 385ft lbs of torque. That’s impressive.

My wife is on her second Malibu. It gets the job done for her and the lease payments are low so she's happy with the car. She went from a base 09 Malibu which was pretty dreadful to a 2013 LT which she seems to be happy with. I agree that the Malibu is pretty mediocre for a mid size sedan. I personally hate mid-size

It's still (Fail Wheel Drive) so nope....

Oh right. Sales started in 2012 but as a 13 MY.

It's hard to believe that the Focus ST is already on its fourth model year here in the U.S. I think it debuted at a really good time like you said. Although now that the WRX and GTI were able to catch up, it's certainly a tough call to make when comparing all three cars. They're all great for that matter.

But that

I would totally welcome a model slotted between the Supra and the BRZ/FRS/GT86. I'm guessing the Supra is going to be a $50-$60k+ car so it would make sense to have something in between.

Why or why not?

If a deal like this was ever available on an EV that's sold in my state like the Focus EV, Spark EV, Soul EV or even if it was a PHEV, I would spend more on two weeks of gas for my car plus my car payment then I would on the monthly payment that it would actually be a no brainer for me. But it would be strictly a

I went from hating this thing compared to the CLA45 AMG, to actually preferring it more because it's still a "car" dressed up as a small crossover. And because I prefer hatches/wagons, I kind of want it.

I agree that the overnight part probably isn't accurate as being required. However I don't want to have to stop and spend 30 minutes at a Supercharger station if I don't have to. Even if there's a freaking strip club located next to one. I'd rather spend 5 minutes gassing up which wouldn't even be necessary in most

Or buy a Ford Flex Limited Ecoboost, tune it and embarrass some people with your sleeper Flex....

Exactly this. I cringe at the thought of what doing doughnuts on dry pavement will do to a stock drive train.

So after the Renesis was pulled out of the RX-8 and swapped into the Miata, an LS was dropped into the RX-8, right?

What would your next new car purchase be if you had the money (keep it reasonable)?

Yeah, I've been looking for a used Limited Ecoboost Flex that has low miles and have been finding some in the $30-$35k range with low miles on them. Even those can be found. But the lower trims are a dime a dozen.
