I was highly considering a Ford Transit Connect for that time in my life when I become outnumbered by my offspring, but I decided I'll spend a little more and get myself a RWD Mercedes Benz Metris instead.... Thanks Jalopnik!

Kinda. The Ford GT was only produced for two model years. 2005 and 2006. The first model year that the C6 ZO6 was sold as was a 2006 model year, but went on sale in Q3 of 2005.
My 11' WRX 5dr will be paid off next year and I too am really considering selling it and use the cash from it to to buy the Focus RS. But I'm waiting on the price for this to get announced since I don't want to pay over $40k for one.
Which model year R though? If it's pre-15, then yeah the pre-15MY Golf Rs has a slow Ring time. If the Megane RS has a quicker time than the 15 Model Year Golf R, then I'm impressed.
I'm one of those people who really wants a wagon. I prefer cars to SUVs or minivans personally because they are still cars and will handle and perform better in most cases. Yet they are practical and have added room. They will also get better gas mileage typically (unless it's a CTS-V Wagon....)
Plus they are easier to…
Hey Doug, hoping you can add some clarity here. So it sounds like you identified the entire process if you were to do the whole thing yourself from finding the car, buying, shipping and registering it.
If you buy a car through Japanese Classics LLC, then all you have to do is buy it from them, and register it but it…
Neutral: Would You Buy A Subaru? If you were in the market for a new car would you at least cross-shop it?
Sooo, a few months back before the new CTS-V debuted, a buddy of mine that works at the Warren Tech Center tells me that he saw what looked like a twin turbo V8 sitting in the engine bay of a new CTS. At the time we were speculating if that's what was going in the new CTS-V but it seemed unlikely since all evidence…
I have wiper defrosters, and I still do it. But they work pretty quickly for those days that I forget.
I agree. Both are great cars, but for the same price (including the discounts on the FoST) you're getting a better car for the money. And I'm not saying the FiST isn't a great car either. Just hard not to get the more expensive Focus ST when it's the same price as the Fiesta ST. Also I live in Metro Detroit and I…
The only clear advantage that the Focus ST has compared to the WRX IMO is that you can pick up a Focus ST3 for like what a Fiesta ST goes for. Since they're being discounted so heavily, they are a great deal.
Exactly why I'm thinking of not trading in my 11 WRX 5dr and getting one of the other cars that's on this list to replace it. I've been eyeing some Procharged C5 Zs that are still under $30k with low miles.
Shit, I can actually afford the Golf TDI Sportwagen.... Y u do dis to me Tom.....
But I will want my TDI with 4Motion....
Yeah I was just about to ask if this is also the reason why people in Europe prefer vehicles that are light weight and have small displacement engines (aside from the better fuel efficiency), because of the higher taxes associated with driving bigger and heavier vehicles.
And this is why I stayed up checking Jalopnik every 5 minutes..... Thank you!
Will depend on the price and will also depend on if it has AWD, the type of AWD and what kind of performance it ultimately delivers. I have a 2011 WRX 5dr and I'm eagerly awaiting the reveal of this car. It'd be great to have a domestic version, which none of the domestics currently offer obviously.
This could be…
The 2015 Golf R is definitely on my radar for a replacement to my 2011 WRX 5dr. Subaru pissed me off with not offering a 5dr variant on the new WRX, and also denying us from being able to buy a Levorg, so unless they come through on offering 5dr in a couple more model years, I'm being forced to look elsewhere.
I'm…
Ok, the driving is still awesome.
Well what do you expect when WRC is just full of AWD sub compact car Fiestas and AWD Golf Polos that aren't even offered with AWD from the factory.... WRC is a joke these days. It really is. It's no better than MINI winning the last few Dakar Rallies.....
After years of pleading, Volvo finally brought a proper, sexy wagon back to the U.S... and no one bought them. I fear the end of the wagons existence is near, if we don't reverse this trend.
