Because it fits in everything, even in a Miata. It's smaller compared to a DOHC V8, and has a lower center of gravity. There's also a crap ton of aftermarket support for the LS series. So parts are easy to come by. Those are just a few.

Most importantly FWD cars tend to be more fuel efficient than RWD cars because FWD doesn't require a drive shaft, rear differential, transfer case and they also tend to weigh less. Which all leads to better fuel efficiency. And fuel efficiency was a big thing coming out of the late 70's and into the 80s.
Because.....
Yes. Except they were Japanese......
There's CTS-Vs already at the Warren Tech Center, and yeah it's got a variant of the LT4 under the hood.
There was a false rumor that it was getting a twin turbo V8. But that was probably more for disinformation purposes.
What's even funnier is that with summer tires, the Forester still gets going. I'd like to see how well the M3 would fair with summer tires.
HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE.
I hate that manufacturers are no longer offering small and actually capable SUVs and have gone in favor of mostly incapable (off road) car based crossovers.
The only advantage they really have is that they are bigger and can carry more people and ok, stuff.
I see very little value in…
Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic about this news! I just really want to know the details like what the availability will end up being. Is it getting AWD or staying FWD? What will it cost? The good news for me is that by the time this comes out, my 11 WRX 5dr will be paid off, so if this has the goods and is at the…
Major props goes to you for buying your dream car and accepting all the risks that's associated with your choice. May I ask, was the 360 your daily driver/only car? Did you have an additional car that didn't belong to a spouse and was their daily driver (I don't know your relationship status or remember if it was…
I just think Toyota missed the mark when it came to offering a serious sport compact variant. But if you were to compare the Scion Tc to like a base Cobalt coupe, or Focus 3dr (at the time), or maybe a regular Civic Coupe then that's where the Tc probably is perceived as a better value and I agree with that. I can't…
But wasn't that the point of the Scion tC? To replace the Celica and offer a sporty and affordable alternative? Back when the tC first came out it was being compared to a Civic Si, Neon SRT-4, Cobalt SS/SC, Focus SVT right? All sport sub-compacts?
It might be solid, but it's behind its competition. The tC would be the last car on my list if I was in the market for a sporty FWD 2+2 seater coupe. Especially now that most vehicles in this class (even if not talking strictly 2+2 coupes) are using forced induction from the factory while the tC doesn't unless you…
Exactly. No clear bubble roof for a T-Rex to stick it's head through, no sale.
Couldn't agree more! My parents had a 94 Lumina APV and it was a great minivan. My parents kept theirs for 12 years with over 120k miles on it and it was a tank. That 3800 series V6 engine was bullet proof and both the engine and transmission didn't have any work done to it the entire time my parents owned it.
One of…
Maybe this guy should switch over to a Cessna Skymaster.......
Try a twin turbo 6..... :)
I did autocross for two years and really enjoyed it. Now that I have a WRX, I really want to get into rallycross. I need to bite the bullet and just go and do one.
Looks like the Falcon got a new sensor dish..... UPGRADE!!!!
So what are the raptors our friends in this new movie?
That is one of the nicest Scouts I have ever seen. As good in the snow as it might be, I wouldn't want to subject such a beautiful vehicle to the salt corrosion.
