So with the manual coming later, hopefully that means that the sticker price will be at least another grand less on the 15 Golf R when equipped with a manual transmission.

Well that seals the deal for me. I know what I'm replacing my WRX 5dr with. Hopefully VW doesn't jack the price up for the wagon.
I bet the GT350's saving grace against the Z28 is that it'll cost a lot less. As great as the Z28 is, it's still a $75k car. I won't be surprised if the GT350 costs $25k less.
I'm pretty sure it was the Loch Ness Monster actually. It wants to get in on the great subsidies that is being offered on the Model S. It's just laying low until it gets dual citizenship.....
It's not bad, but Ford morphed it from a true SUV to a sorta looks like an SUV when in reality it's a crossover built on a car platform.
I ran into this when I bought my WRX towards the end of the summer of 2011 shortly after the Tsunami struck Japan. There were only two WRXs in my entire state. One of the dealers was charging $28k for a base model WRX which retailed for under $26k and the other dealer across the state was charging $30k for a Satin…
What made you not buy it? I'm just curious.
Lots more details on the car in their story. But will it come to America? Our friends at Fourtitude recently reported the RS3 sedan seems to be a done deal, and also the A3 hatch is coming our way too. I'd say things look promising.
Hey I wish them all the best and a safe fight. Not many are willing to take up arms themselves.
This winter, I should consider becoming an Uber driver and use my WRX and snow tires. I'm going to be RICH.......
I wish the U.S would get the V40 too. The only V60 I would want personally is the T6 R-Design which unfortunately is out of my price range brand new. But I'll check pricing in 2-3 years on a used one.
Currently one of my biggest fears, after surviving a collision and with no injuries but I wouldn't be the happiest if my car got into a collision and wasn't totaled. But on the other end I've benefited from it also. I bought an 04 RSX Type-S with under 60k miles about 5 years ago and paid just under $8k for it because…
So would my WRX! :-)
I would buy that so fast, it's not even funny.
I think one of the advantages to moving naming schemes every decade or so helps the general public forget brand's blunders like the Cimmaron and Catera. I'm pretty sure that Cadillac wouldn't be as successful today if the CTS was still being called the Catera or Cimmaron. Even with name change to CTS it got better…
I agree with you. Maybe because I haven't driven one but for a car that has all the tech in the world and is about as fast as a $50k sports car, I just don't see the value in this car when its still priced in a range that's unattainable to the masses.
But I'm sure it provides a driving experience that is unlike…
Only Lincoln would keep ALL of their cars FWD and make a RWD crossover. Just get rid of the brand already Ford.
And this will end up costing $200k......
Insurance is a lot more expensive on the STI compared to the WRX. It was like $600-700 more a year for me compared to the WRX.
I really wish Honda sold a "proper" Honda Accord wagon in the U.S. Instead Honda had to cater to the "crossover" fad and come out with this just to hope to sell it and instead brought over the real/JDM Accord wagon that the rest of the world gets and re-badged it as the Acura TSX Sport Wagon and charged more for it.…
