A lot of people complain that the GTR is heavy. It does have a 1,736 kg/ 3,827 lbs curb weight which makes it heavy in most car enthusiast's books. Still a fast as f*ck car, but it's no feather weight, that's for sure.
The problem with the cheaper half of high-performance front wheel drive cars is that they come with heaps of torque steer. Going straight shouldn't be an optional extra.
So the Charger is getting the Hellcat engine, but it still won't be getting a manual transmission? The only thing that keeps me from getting a Charger is the lack of a manual transmission. Otherwise I would have seriously considered a R/T or even a SRT8 Core.
Yes, and isn't it also due to the fact that the OEM clutch is an organic clutch as well?
As a WRX owner, I can definitely attest to this. Although the 2015 WRX now utilizing a twin-scroll turbocharger and other changes seems to handle aggressive launches pretty well. As to how well over time is another question.
When you launch it perfectly the feeling is great, but you definitely cringe once the cabin…
You could see how the STI bogged down at the launch because whoever was driving it didn't spool up the turbo. Had they held the revs up to at least 4k RPMS and launched it that way the outcome would have been much different.
Yeah whoever was driving that STI, launched it at 0 RPMs. If they actually did an aggressive launch, it would have most likely beat the S3. Pretty sure C&D (or maybe MT) got a 13.1 1/4 time.
Well since the U.S. Air Force is so keen on retiring the A-10, they should just lend-lease them to Ukraine.
I considered getting one back in the day, and I just couldn't get over the roll up windows in the back doors, the tall gear shift, and the hole that was cut out from one of the vents for the boost gauge. Car is fast for what it is, no doubt. But then again I bought a Cobalt SS Supercharged so......
Yeah, the Cobalt SS got the same reputation as the Neon and Caliber SRT-4, despite all of these cars having a ton of potential. Back when I owned a Cobalt SS/SC we used to call Neon SRT-4s "skittles" because they were offered in almost every color of the rainbow.... At least that was the nickname that's used for them…
Was just going to say this. Total sleeper, no one will even know what it is unless they see the wheels.
If I was paying 700k for this, then I would have expected the crappy Viper interior to have been completely re-designed....
You're asking the wrong guy unfortunately. :(
Yes, and throw in a 20 year old blonde for me to cheat on my wife with....
I don't believe so for the Mustang GT. At least I haven't read otherwise. I think it's still using the MT82. Looks like the Getrag is being carried over.

Which was the point I was trying to make.
LOL why should I pay $55k for a Shelby Mustang GT500 when I can get a Corvette Stingray for less than the price of a Shelby Mustang GT500?????
Now it has a little blend of Mini and the Aston Martin Cygnet styling. It's not bad. But then again, the Smart Car has never been my cup of tea.
Depends where in Detroit, and where in Troy. If you're measuring the shortest distance between the two points, being 8 mile to the southern most point in Troy (Big Beaver/16 mile) that's 8 miles. Taking into account freeways and roads it's obviously a longer distance.
